“Great taste of home for this New Orleans transplant. The crawfish etouffee and gumbo are delicious. The bread pudding is yummy too. There is a well stocked market adjacent to the ordering counter that has many basic groceries as well as prepared foods and regional specialties. “Today was my annual birthday dinner with my family and my little brother. It's both our birthdays so we get to choose where we want to go out to eat with all of us. So I had decided that we should try the New Restaurant Voodoo Crab in Massapequa and let me tell you, it was definitely better than I expected. The food was good, definitely reminds me of hook and reel up in Hicksville or sexy crab in Levittown… Food is definitely comparable and was very good. But What made this experience AMAZING was the impeccable customer service that we received! Lilliana was our waitress and she was wonderful to say the least… If I can give a 10 star rating for service, I would've given them a higher star. But the best part was the owner of the restaurant coming around to make sure everything was well with us. He definitely went above and beyond making sure that we were completely satisfied. And besides singing the regular, happy birthday to us, they surprised us with a couple of free desserts because of our birthdays. Not sure if that's a normal practice but I'd have to save out of the three restaurants mentioned, Voodoo Crab is now my absolute favorite because of the service! If you're looking for a great atmosphere, with great food, very fair pricing, and the best service I've had in a long time… I would highly recommend Voodoo Crab to you! “Food- we had apps , wings and shrimp, they were very good. The spicy Cajun wings were pretty good a little Too chicken tasting if u know what I mean. “Ordered from this place for the 1st time and eventhough i only live about 10 minutes away it took the uber driver 23 minutes to get the order to me..... even with that being said, the food came hot and it was delicious. The only thing i wish is that they would supply the utensils needed to crack open the crabs but if you have some industrial scissors and a good hammer and forks you can make it work. I would absolutely recommend this place even for ordering if you live near by it is worth it. next time i want a seafood boil i will go to this location in person to be able to experience the restaurant itself, the staff, and the service.“
“Four years since my last review/experience with this establishment and it's still amazing! From the food, to the service and ambiance. This isn't a seafood boil that is oily, greasy and flavorless. This seafood boil packs a punch of flavors, it's so delicious and for the month of December they're offering buy 1, get 1 snow crab legs and king crab legs. That is AMAZING! Literally 2lbs of seafood for the price of one. I tried their pomegranate martini, highly recommend. It was a creeper. The peach lemonade with vodka is also very delicious, you'd think it's lemonade with no alcohol but it has plenty. Haha, thank you to my server who played magical tricks and really was a pleasure to be around, he was super nice, funny and helpful. Ben's crab thank you for another great experience after so long, happy you did not go downhill as an establishment. I will be back and it won't take so long!!“
“I enjoyed my experience there. Food was good, so was service. The price was right. I understand why they charge for uneaten food, it duscourages people from wasting. My wife and i shared several items without issue. My only issue was being expected to tip on top of the 15% gratuity that is automatically added to the bill. Other than that I'm satisfied. I will go back in foreseeable future. Also the mango martinis was hittin.“
