Topping were also good and fresh and the bread was good. Service was great and friendly. The place was too small and they didn’t have enough seats. “Had High expectations as my mom always visits David's when she crosses the boarder. Had the shrimp tacos although the shrimp was BIG and JUICY and FLAVOURFUL the coleslaw underneath was so BLAND. My husband had the jalapeno brisket burger which he enjoyed with sweet potato fries which were AMAZING. i would go back and try something else next time and for sure get the sweet potato fries!“

Currently, my main focus when deciding where and what to eat while eating or ordering out is whether the food item(s) are of a healthier nature and what the price is.

Usually, the items I choose are found on the Side Dish portion of the menu. (Not always, but often).

This is the case at Firehouse Subs, where I order their Chilli from their Sides menu.

Their chilli is meaty with kidney beans, diced tomatoes and onions, and a sauce that is not spicy. I personally like to taste my chilli, not feel it burn. You can always add a little heat yourself, but you can't take it out once it's in.

The price for the bowl of chilli is $5.94, which is quite reasonable, considering the high protein and fiber content.

The sodium content is a little  high - 850mg - but I often don't eat the whole portion at once, usually pouring half the chilli over a baked potato (which I get from a Sides menu at another nearby restaurant, for 3.49!).

Usually, I order pick up or just walk in and place my order.  The staff have always been polite and friendly. But due to my not eating in, I am not able to accurately review the restaurant's atmosphere.

PS - On my next visit, I plan to try their side salad - yes, it's from their Sides portion of their menu.
It is $4.95 and includes romaine lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, provolone cheese, and your choice of dressing.

“I recently had a pretty satisfying experience at this Subway. The sandwich options were plentiful—and in stock. The staff was friendly and efficient, ensuring a quick and smooth ordering process. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious, packed with actually flavorful ingredients. However, I did notice that the seating area was a bit cramped, making it less comfortable for dining in. Additionally, during busy lunch hours, the wait times can be a bit longer. I suppose this truly is suffering from success. Nevertheless, this place turned out a reliable choice for a tasty and customizable meal on the go.

Vegetarian options: There's some real good potential if you know what to mix. I don't.

Kid-friendliness: It's a Subway, y'know?

Parking: It's in a pretty spacious plaza. Parking lots may be evil, but darn if they can't be very convenient.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's pretty accessible once you manage to open the doors somehow.

Dietary restrictions: These are some of the most dietary-restriction-friendly options I've ever seen. As alway though, YOU have to take care of yourself at the end of the day.“

“Service was so good. We got there during lunch hours and it was so busy it was sunday and despite of rush we got the very nice service by the girl who was working there and also made our 10 ft long within time with good quality and she was very friendly and welcoming greeted customer very well.“

“Just remodeled late 2021 - very nice inside to eat in or take to go. Very convenient location which is well staffed which is nice to see and keeps things moving. There is a laundry mat next door so you could eat while you wait? We stop here often before heading down 104 to go camping. There is room to pull out of the way past the carwash with a tow vehicle and camper so we stop and grab lunch here before heading out of town.“

There was a possible homeless man in there trying to take a subway cup and get a drink, he then dropped candy balls on the floor and broke a glass. There was also a restroom in the back that a young man came in to get a woman whom may have took a cleaning in there. All this was going on while the young lady was trying to make my order. Causing her to continuously call her male colleague from the back to assist. 🤨“
