“I've been coming from Orange County every week for the last 2 years to watch my grandsons a few days each week. We make it part of our day to take a walk and always stop in for a snack or a sandwhich. Sam and his wife are lovely, friendly people and always make a fuss over the babies. The store is immaculate and the Korean food is not to be missed. The Bulgogi hero is my favorite go to sandwhich....Highly recommend !“

“This hibachi blows a certain local chain out of the water. Amazing food, served by really nice people, out of the most humble kitchen.I had a generous portion of the steak and shrimp combo. “I was working locally and decided to grab lunch from Wheeler Deli after reading the reviews. The deli is smaller and quaint but has a large case of Boars Head meats, salads, and desserts. I ordered an American Hero, sides of macaroni salad, and potato salad, and a piece of the banana bread. They got right to making my order and the wait time was less than 5 minutes. My sandwich was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The salads were creamy and had great flavor. The banana bread was outstanding; dense and sweet and flavorful. The total for food and a drink was less than $25 which was a great value. I’ll be back.“

“I recently visited Long Island NY, and stopped at Nina’s Deli and catering for lunch. I was greeted by a very friendly staff with wonderful hospitality. I ordered an Italian Hero Sub and it was a absolutely delicious, made just the right way. Meat, cheese, bread and peppers were so fresh! Best Hero I ever have. “Whenever I'm in Merrick, which is usually two or three times a month, I always stop at Bagelman of Merrick. They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“

Nice presentation.
The food was all vegetarian [Eggplant, Egg salad, Tuna, Veggie wrap, Potato salad, Cole slaw] and no complaints from any of the guests, so all good.
Especially liked the eggplant wraps and potato salad.

“Deli Boy makes great sandwiches. Very fresh and tasty ingredients. I only recently moved to the area so I have been to a few delis in the freeport Baldwin area. I would say that all my orders have been over the phone for pick up. Because of COVID I wont open rh e sandwhich but all of my sandwiches I have asked for cheese but everytime I get home .....there is none. Its my faukt though I know netter to watch my food being prepared and making sure all the ingredients are there. AI havent really fully enjoyed the sandwich becuae its missing a key ingredient. It hapoened again today. Gbey write the order down perfect on the ticjetbut the sandwich doesnt have evefything on it . Dont get me wrong ill be back but I jave to change my way of ordening to get what I paid for“

They at very friendly and for regular customers they allow you to get things without paying as long as you pay the next time you come back. “The hot food here (Latin Food) is made fresh daily and it's pretty. You get a decent portion for 1 for $5. Breakfast sandwiches starting at $3 so you can't go wrong and the cold cut hero's are enormous to some really good brewed coffee. Not much on the negative to say except that it would be nice if they carried a larger variety of drink but from canned goods to cleaning supplies to house hold items and an ATM this deli has a lot to offer at good prices.“

I was accidentally given French fries instead of the French toast. This is not that big of a deal but the man at the counter argued with me that I ordered French fries, instead of offering to fix the $40 order. It was 8:50am and I already had ordered hash browns with my breakfast; I wouldn’t have ordered French fries with that.“

“La Fonda Deli is amazing! The food tastes authentic and is made with fresh ingredients which really makes a difference. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect to enjoy with family or friends. “I came here with my family who is visiting from another country. The woman behind the counter was so kind and hospitable and attentive to us made us feel right at home. She made this experience absolutely magical. This is another level, nothing I expected, but everything I needed.

P.S some of their drinks are homemade, including the peanut drink and the hibiscus drink which we had. Those were exceptional. We are fans of hibiscus drinks, and these were the best we ever had.“

“Got the tacos de carnitas (pork), chorizo (ground pork), and bistec (steak). All delicious but my favorite has to be the carnitas, and this is mostly because the owners wife makes the pork from pork shoulder and she's Dominican so she makes it as pernil which I grew up eating and it's my favorite rendition of pork. So it's fair to say that I've been here like 3 times in the past month and a half after finding this spot ? but it's bc in all honesty these are some of the best tacos in the area (Elmont/valley stream) and especially the best carnitas (pork) tacos in the area. We can try and compare other spots, but I promise you it's just your pride lol if we are talking Elmont this is the spot. Very authentic and the portions are crazy, I can throw down but I'm good with 4-5 tacos. Tbh once you go into 5-6 you're gonna be in the food baby territory of fullness, just get a Jarrito for the bevy and you'll be golden beloved.“
