“Had a wonderful time on New Years Eve at Island Soul. The food and service were great. The DJ kept everybody engaged and there was a champagne toast at midnight. It was a great way to bring in the New Year with family & friends. We love this local spot!“

“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. The outside stone work decor is so beautiful. Thank you for a great food experience. Give this place a try I believe you will not be disappointed.“

“I went to the food court when I happen to notice that new restaurant had opened. Intrigued by the name I had to check out the menu. I ordered a Big Melt along with a side of cheese curds.The Big Melt I’d describe as a grilled cheese with two quarter pounders with lettuce, tomato, pickles(yuck) & their own sauce. The burger was very juicy which and the sauce was cool.Now the cheese curds were great. In fact I could make a meal off of them alone. In fact I just might get a large one day as my meal.I will be the first to admit the prices are a little more than I might otherwise spend on myself, but it was definitely worth it. Especially when it comes to the curds.I wish them luck and hope it’s a success for them.“
