My Father has since passed but my Sister took my Mother there today and they gave my Mom hugs, told her they loved her and how cute she was. I was in tears when I heard this from my Sister. I am so Happy that my Mom has this place to go to to get out and feel so loved by so many. Over the years the Sunrise Diner has been a very Happy Place to go to. “We met Peter himself, and he could not have been lovelier. Our server was so lovely and accommodating, the food was hot and fast, and the whole experienced was topped off by our conversation with Peter. They don’t make diners, or diners-owners, like him anymore so you should stop in and say hi.“

The French fries were also excellent, served fresh, hot, and perfectly cooked. What truly made this experience memorable was the exceptional service. The owner personally stopped by my table to ensure everything was satisfactory, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. In addition, my waiter checked in several times throughout the meal to make sure everything met expectations. Small details, such as consistently refilling my water glass without being asked, demonstrated a genuine commitment to customer service and hospitality. Overall, while not every menu item was a standout for me, the outstanding service, excellent salad, and fresh fries made for an enjoyable dining experience. “Have been coming here, sporadically, for past 20+ years. Same ladies serving for quite awhile. Hit or miss service, sometimes they are too chatty and ignore tables. Food is good if you are ordering basic diner fare; omelettes or sandwiches. The owner, a kind, older gentleman, tried his best to make us feel valued.

Although we should have written this review earlier, it took the loss of my wallet to make us realize how grateful we are for the diner's honesty and integrity. Yesterday, my husband and I had lunch at the diner, but later that night, I discovered that I had misplaced my wallet. Today, I received a phone call from Mike, the owner, informing me that someone on his staff had found my wallet. Nick held my wallet in his office to ensure its safety until I arrived. I was relieved to find that everything was untouched and still inside. We cannot thank the staff and owners of the Massapequa Diner enough for their honesty and kindness.
