“Nice old style diner in a strip mall near Citi Field. Needed a hot drink and some disco fries when we left the game, they had both. Lots of locals in the area by almost nothing residential. Fantastic friendly service. Old school charm. Food came out fast and hot. They made disco fries for us without any problem. A bit pricey but what isn't these days.“

“It's a nice family friendly restaurant. The service is outstanding. They don't accept reservations, so you have to make sure the whole party is complete before you can get a table. I recommend their lobster bisque, and some waffle fries for sharing! The food is good, you just need to go easy with their free dinner rolls, or you'll feel stuffed before your meal comes. 😀“

“Stopped by North Shore Diner in Queens and had a great breakfast experience. I ordered 2 eggs, home fries, turkey bacon, and coffee. Everything was fresh, hot, and cooked just right. My son had pancakes with bacon and eggs, and he really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the portions were good, and the atmosphere was welcoming. “Mike's Coffee Shop has a quintessential diner feel and you better get there early if you want to snag a booth. They serve up all the classics and none of that $14 pancakes nonsense. I focused in on the Greek Specialties section and ordered a Gyro on Pita for $7.25. It has a good amount of meat, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and tzatziki on soft pita. I could've used a squeeze of lemon on the side, but otherwise a flawless diner experience.“

“Lovely typical American diner, very clean with professional staff. The food is exactly what you'd want it to be; we had a breakfast burrito and avocado toast with poached eggs which we perfectly cooked. Free refills on the coffee was brilliant too. We were there about 8:45 and were seated straight away, order was taken promptly and the food arrived without any real wait. Definitely recommend.“

“The menu looks great the write up about the food is promising. The problem I see is with your training of your staff. That falls on the management. The management is setting up their employees to fail. Train your staff, hold yourself accountable, you as a manager is to train your staff, to your standards and expectations. If you have staff members who will not or cannot meet your expectations of doing the job, if they cannot or will not follow instructions, you need to terminate them that includes family members. It sounds harsh, I know jobs are hard to get in the Philippines. That is more of a reason to train your employees to do the job to their best.“

“Hit the spot. I had the “Mexican” Omelette with added ham. Along with what looks to be actual home fries made from actual non processed potatoes.. not the chopped up store bought kind.. Either I was exhausted from walking all day and it being 2 AM, or this food was just that good! Never the less, I will definitely be eating there again!“

“It’s such a yummy spot on Metropolitan Avenue in Middle Village!

The service is always good. The staff are always friendly. I have never had a bad meal here - after many many times at the Metropolitan Diner.

The only negatives are the difficulty parking (welcome to Middle Village) and the sometimes long wait (but, that’s what you get when the food is superior)!“

“I pass this restaurant most mornings going to work. Today since was early for work I went in to get breakfast (take out). Debra automatically spotted me in the crowded restaurant I let her know I wanted to Take my food to go. She got me a menu, came back took my order. Food didn’t take long. Whoever the lady was that took my payment was rude put my card on the counter with the slip for me to sign. She should have handed me my card. Debra made sure that I was aware my card was on the counter. She said put your card don’t forget about it. I would definitely go back for Debra’s world class service.“

“I came here regularly when the original owner George was in charge. Charming guy who stopped what he was doing to yell Hello to everyone who walked in. The food was regular diner food that he elevated. Huge portions and decent price. He retired or left and people who worked for him took over. I rarely go now. Food is decent but prices went up and portions are smaller. The servers are good and personable. Place seems to always be busy since there are several schools and offices in the area. Still decent but you don't get as much value for your money and no charm and personality from George.“

The food is always delicious, generously well priced, and the customer service is always really nice. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, along with an extra side of onion rings. That came up to $20 on the dot, and with the portions they serve, I was more than happy with that price. I have, and I will continue to go to this amazing restaurant.
