“Walked over for a late breakfast while overnight near LA Guardia at the Fairfield inn. Pleasantly surprised (because of the mini mall it was in) with great food and service. We were wearing our green Mexico futbol jerseys and got applause from the staff when we arrived (Mexico was playing in the afternoon).“

“My husband took me out for breakfast at the North Shore diner. Its my birthday today. I had ordered, two eggs over easy, home fries and toast. To my surprise the waiter came over and sang Happy birthday to me and gave me a strawberry shortcake with a candle and said make a wish.

“Delicious Diner.

Exactly what you expect when you picture a diner. No frills, cheap, and exceptionally average food. It gets the job done, with the kind of gritty atmosphere you’d expect from a place that’s been serving neighborhood regulars for years.

I had the cheeseburger, while the person next to me was chowing down on chicken parm and spaghetti. The cheeseburger tasted like it came straight out of the freezer. It reminded me of the kind I used to get at the bowling alley as a kid.

10/10 recommend. Will return.“

I was dining solo, so grabbed a seat at the counter and ordered the three-stack blueberry pancakes with coffee. The pancakes looked fantastic and tasted even better, the blueberries are baked right into them, although I wouldn’t have complained about a little more blueberry sauce on top.

It was busy and lively, but the staff were friendly and the whole experience had that classic diner charm.“

“Today June 24th I had lunch here with a friend. It was my first time. Passed this cafe but never tried it. Well the food was delicious, prices reasonable and the waitress Eloise was delightful! I had vegetable quesadella. My friend had an egg white vegetable omelet with hash browns. The portions are generous! Our waitress Eloise made the dining experience here pleasurable. “Please make your next night out at Crispin's. I came here on a Friday night on a fluke because it was raining and got sangria to pass the storm. It quickly turned into wine, free bread, and the best pappardelle bolognese I've had (and priced so well at $18 for fresh pasta). The owner was so great, and I genuinely hope his business succeeds as much as he was so nice to me. Definitely worth a visit!“

“Hit the spot. I had the “Mexican” Omelette with added ham. Along with what looks to be actual home fries made from actual non processed potatoes.. not the chopped up store bought kind.. Either I was exhausted from walking all day and it being 2 AM, or this food was just that good! Never the less, I will definitely be eating there again!“

“We started with the blueberry pancakes for something sweet. Growing up on Long Island, pancakes were a priority for a diner. Here, their pancakes are very similar to what I grew up eating. They are very fluffy and the rendered blueberries in the pancake batter give a very nice sweet/acidic contrast. They were perfect.

The chorizo burrito was very creamy and every bite was enjoyable, thats the description I will use. The home fries were very well seasoned using an even amount of peppers/onions with the potatoes.

The chorizo benedict was great. The hollandaise sauce was different in the sense that it didnt taste like a traditional benedict sauce. Traditionally the yolk and the vinegar are the stars of the sauce. This sauce had a different taste that made those two ingredients not that star. The saltiness of the chorizo on top was fantastic, mixing with the creaminess of fresh avocados and perfectly poached eggs. The muffin was also perfectly toasted.

Overall, an amazing local restaurant and I will be coming back for sure!“

“I came here regularly when the original owner George was in charge. Charming guy who stopped what he was doing to yell Hello to everyone who walked in. The food was regular diner food that he elevated. Huge portions and decent price. He retired or left and people who worked for him took over. I rarely go now. Food is decent but prices went up and portions are smaller. The servers are good and personable. Place seems to always be busy since there are several schools and offices in the area. Still decent but you don't get as much value for your money and no charm and personality from George.“

“The menu looks great the write up about the food is promising. The problem I see is with your training of your staff. That falls on the management. The management is setting up their employees to fail. Train your staff, hold yourself accountable, you as a manager is to train your staff, to your standards and expectations. If you have staff members who will not or cannot meet your expectations of doing the job, if they cannot or will not follow instructions, you need to terminate them that includes family members. It sounds harsh, I know jobs are hard to get in the Philippines. That is more of a reason to train your employees to do the job to their best.“

The service is always good. The staff are always friendly. I have never had a bad meal here - after many many times at the Metropolitan Diner.

The only negatives are the difficulty parking (welcome to Middle Village) and the sometimes long wait (but, that’s what you get when the food is superior)!“

“When wandering around looking for a lunch spot we found this place! We watched a local elderly couple walk in and that was a good sign. Service here is attentive and friendly. The vibe here is casual and old school. Nice interior. I just had an iced tea so my family ate. The food s straight ahead, nothing fancy but has all the staples. My family got some amazing salads, Cobb salad and Chicken Cesar salad! Come here for a yummy meal. Very local vibe!“

“Neptune Diner is the best. I usually go every Sunday to have a cheese burger. Specifically I usually get the Neptune Burger with the bacon and grilled onions. Their menu is extensive and there’s something for everyone. Our server Nico is very friendly and fast. The food comes out just minutes after we order, I love it. I would definitely recommend Neptune to anyone looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat!“

“Ever since I was little, I would go to this restaurant so many times. I have so many fond memories. Even eating it today, it brings back memories of when my mom would take me and my siblings to eat there for dinner. At the time, they would close much later than they do now. Thankfully, I'm already walking home by 2 pm, and since I live close by, the delivery was nice and fast. The food is always delicious, generously well priced, and the customer service is always really nice. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, along with an extra side of onion rings. That came up to $20 on the dot, and with the portions they serve, I was more than happy with that price. I have, and I will continue to go to this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.“
