“This is a new location for them. We got Nathan's, which is part of this location. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. The food was good, hot dogs with fries and onion rings. I didn't care for the onion rings to much breading on it and not enough onion.“
“Im in the service and happened to stop into this place. Its only a matter of time before this hidden gem gets nationally recognized so get in there while you can! From the friendly atmosphere, to such a huge menu and even a nice punch drink that has a good kick too it.My group had a large and complicated order I expected there to be at least a mistaie but the food was well prepared, fast and delicious! I especially recommend the chicken kabobs and the sliders. But the big selling point is the hospitality. Just a cool crew to hang out with while the foods being prepped. Delicious!“
“Pretty decent location and a good Gyro platter. I went there because I was waiting for my appointment at the barbershop and I’m glad that I drop by. I was hungry and I chose the Gyro platter which is normally my favorite. They did a decent job give me a salad with it, which I think was part of the lunch special service was good and the food was deliciousVegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: No gluten-freeParking: YesKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“
“I used to work for an authentic Greek restaurant that unfortunately closed down years ago. Ever since I've been looking for a Greek spot that can match the chefs amazing food, and I finally found it ? I could eat pork gyro here every day for the rest of my “
“I have been coming here for months now, and the food always hits. There are plenty of varieties to chose from and no matter which one it is, it always tastes great. The only complaint I have through, is that the service is quite slow, and usually this isn't a problem, but at times it can be quite bothersome if I'm in a rush and it's taking too long. Otherwise, this place is great! The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is quite nostalgicParking: So many spaces.“
“We don't live close but heard good things about the food so we took a drive. The service and the food was top notch. I couldn't believe the size of the portions, honestly. We couldn't even finish half our meals. I would recommend getting there by 4-4:30. We left at 6 and the place was packed.“
“Amazing heroes! I was so blown away how good they are, I’m glad I found a good hero place here in the islip area where I’m close by to, most good hero spots I have to travel throughout Suffolk county, i highly recommend hometown heroes most especially the Mac Attack or Good Sam hero’s!! Will be back again!“
“I consider myself somewhat of a bagel maven. I know good bagels. And this place has them. They don’t sell soft rolls with holes in the center and pass them off as bagels; they have the real thing. Kind of crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Not the best, but very good. And the slight bit they may lack in taste is more than made up for by their excellent, friendly, quick service. The gentleman who took care of me acted as if he was happy to be there, which in turn made me happy to be there. Lots of easy parking. I shall return.Vegetarian options: There are optionsDietary restrictions: Options existParking: Easy to parkKid-friendliness: Very friendlyWheelchair accessibility: It is accessible“
“I have been to this place quite often when i am in the shopping center. Some of the items can be on the pricey side compared to other pizza places but the quality of their food makes it worth it. My visits are always worthwhile and i have never left unhappy. I would like to give a big thank you to an employee named Kristen who is always incredibly welcoming. Shes really sweet and i appreciate how she treats her customers. I called and asked her name so i could give her a shout out in this review because she deserves the recognition. Overall this place is absolutely fantasic and i couldnt reccomened them more! Give them a try today.P.S -- IF an owner sees this, i would love to see you guys join up with the "too good to go" movement to help eliminate food waste! I always check if Phils 2 is on the app because a ton of pizza places are but unfortunately they arent. Hope to see you guys on there one day!!“
“Eagle's Nest is an absolute gem! I was back home on Long Island for 2 days and was so lucky to attend an amazing Yelp event in Hicksville hosted by our stellar CM Jared at Kathi & Kabab. I wanted a smoothie but not just any gym juice bar wait for 25 minutes smoothie. Well, I can vouch after my 2 visits in 18 hours that the Eagle's Nest is the Best! I got the Chunky Monkey beaut on a Wednesday evening and the PB Chocolate( Reese's PB Cup OMG) when Mike the owner opened at 11 am on Thursday. I tasted the difference right away as my eyes got really big- quality ingredients, generous portions, really well blended, love the classy peanut butter streak along the length and breadth of the big cup, the taste - wow! So many great choices. Mike took his time making my sensational smoothie. The owner Mike is a lovable and fun person. He is a trained chef who ran a kitchen at a bowling alley in Brooklyn before opening this establishment 3 years ago. He is loads of fun to talk to! He wears all these gold chains and bracelets which add to his great personality and the fun menu. I made a friend as I enjoyed my drink. Carol , a regular came in while doing laundry next door and got the honey mustard turkey wrap. She was raving about it so I got one too. Love Love Love!!! You have to go to Eagle's Nest! It is just north of the Bethpage RR station in the King Kullen shopping center. 12 minutes from Hicksville, 14 minutes from Copiague and 20 minutes south of Old Brookville. Open 7 days 11-7 M to Sat and 11-3 on Sundays. Loads of parking. I can't wait to go back, hang out with the fun Mike and experience some more of his amazing delicacies and delicious and wholesome smoothies.“
“This is the first time that I ever ordered a take out order from Café Gio. I spoke to Franco, Leo and the owner Sal. The feeling that they gave me when I spoke to them on the Telephone moments ago was that I was back in the day, when I could call a restaurant, talk to the folks that either owned it, or ran it and place an order with them, while they were answering a myriad of questions for me! I must say that I do a lot of takeout orders for work, friends, and family, The staff at Café Gio far surpassed my expectations and helped me place a large catering order seamlessly for today!I would highly recommend doing business with Café Gio. We need to support the restaurants that care enough to keep us happy, healthy and well fed. By the way, I failed to mention that my order was time sensitive it had to be delivered within a certain time today. The staff at Café Gio is making the delivery for me Personally at no extra charge!!!Dietary restrictions: Several of the guests are gluten free.“
“big fan of roast. have been for a few years. solid menu, excellent execution, and the biggest reason i keep coming back: great consistency every time i order. wait time never too bad- granted i usually call in the order and it's ready when i walk in to pick up.“
“Been ordering smoothies and food from here for a while now for pick up and never had issues. The staff always had my order ready before or on time for pick up. Food is good and the smoothies are great. Typically staff are very helpful. May not be the friendliest but they always get the food and smoothies out.“
“This has become my go-to local pizzeria since moving here. The pizza is consistently good, great prices. Their white slice and veggie slice are my favorites. The veggie slice is loaded with eggplant, broccoli and a few other items. It's like a meal on a slice. The staff has been super friendly each time I've been in. Garlic knots are great, bite size and soft in the middle. They have to-go desserts like linzer tarts, red velvet whoopie pies and other assorted desserts as well. They conveniently have premade single portioned meals of items like ziti, stuffed shells, Meatballs, Lasagna. Great for people who like to have quick, easy grab and go meal or help with meal prep for the week.“
