“We had lunch here today and everything was amazing! Our Dad asked about Sloppy Joes and the server pointed out that they didn’t have them on the menu but suggested the brisket grilled cheese. Before our food arrived the serve came out with a specially made sloppy Joe for our Dad. He ate the whole thing and said it was delicious! I had the brisket grilled cheese and that was very yummy! For the chef to make a custom dish was so unexpected and very much appreciated. It was nice to see Dad happy and have a full belly!!!! We will be back for sure!”

“Was invited for the Syracuse Duke basketball game. But before had a wonderful dinner at Joey’s Restaurant. Noticed Big Mama’s Cheesecakes, hm, interesting/catchy name. Make note this is one dessert that so many make, so many claim to have so called mastered etc it is extremely difficult to master. From my 33 years of experience & being a 3 star chef from Manhattan & serving the biggest names in any form of entertainment I have to express that in this crazy culinary business this cheesecake was well beyond anything I have ever tasted. Magnificent isn’t even enough to say. There is a famous restaurant in France named Les Papilles. Exceptional in bakery especially cheesecake. The cheesecake here in Syracuse is right there with Les Papilles. This is a complete lottery win for this area of the country. I’ve been around the globe and have visited many culinary gems, this is in my top 20. Absolutely brilliant”

“Our server Patrick was awesome, great personality. Knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. We got the Chicken buffalo dip as our appetizer and Tullys Tenders as our meal. Warning do not eat the popcorn, it was great but didn't leave enough room for our food, lol.
The serving sizes, we'll let me tell you, the app would have easily fed 4 and our dinners, would have fed 6. Go there hungry! Prices were reasonable. Would definitely go again”

“Had a delicious taste of the Orient while dining at Bangkok Thai & Japanese Restaurant yesterday. 🏯 We were greeted and seated immediately by a very respectful hostess/server. For appetizers, we split Chicken Money Bags ($12.95) and Crab Rangoons ($8.95). The Crab Rangoons were unlike any I’ve had elsewhere—the filling was reminiscent of a cream cheese Alfredo sauce, making it a gooier filling than expected. They were very flavorful. I had Drunken Noodles with shrimp ($19.50) and ordered mild spice, but they still had some kick to them. My friend ordered Pad Thai with shrimp ($19.50) at medium spice, but after tasting each other's, we determined mine was actually spicier. Although you can't see the shrimp in the pictures, there was a sufficient amount. We both enjoyed our entrees very much, and the presentation was appealing. The service was efficient and pleasant, with two people waiting on us. The appetizers came out quickly, and the entrées actually arrived before we were done with our appetizers—which was understandable, as there were only two other diners in the restaurant and the staff was on top of things. The entrée portion sizes could have been slightly bigger, but with the two appetizers, we left full. The total bill came to $62.00, which I believe is in line with most other full-service Thai/Japanese restaurants. The only downside was the lack of ambiance. I hadn’t eaten there since 1990, and unless I’m mistaken, I don’t think anything has changed in terms of decor or furniture. The seats are padded, but the padding is completely worn down. It’s a very dated-looking restaurant, so definitely not the place to go if you’re looking for a romantic dining experience. That said, it was very tidy, and I had no concerns about cleanliness. It was a great meal with excellent service, and needless to say, I won’t be letting another 35 years go by before returning! 4 out of 5 ⭐️'s”

“We came in for the Sunday special and were lucky to have Sarah as our server. She was amazing. I have celiacs and she knew just what I could have and made sure my order was perfection. From the soup French Onion to my Turkey dinner! The food was amazing. I could not have the Sauerbraten but that is what my partner ordered. He thought the was amazing and was able to bring home a wonderful piece of raspberry pie. (which I could not eat.). But Sarah checked over all of the dessert options to try and find one for me. The food was amazing. Our service was stellar. And we told Sarah we would be back to see her again. Thank you so much for a lovely meal!”

“I'm from out of town.I'm completely visiting from another state.I ordered OIP because my friend who is from this area recommended it.Although I ordered from the wrong locationWent to the wrong location the people were very nice when they handed me the Pizza. Although it was my fault, I think the Pizza was cold. I asked them if they could stick it back in the oven and heat it up a little would say, accommodate it, but I did not check the order properly because I had ordered a meat lovers with no bacon and unfortunately. It had bacon. I don't know if somebody didn't read the instructions. But next time, I'll have to check my order to make sure they did the order right? That is the only reason. They got a 4 on stars on the food.It's because they did not read the instructions”

“We used to frequent here often and always got the burnt ends sandwich with sweet potato fries as one of the sides. The other dish pictured is the regular brisket sandwich with regular fries (I added my own cheese bc $2 for them to add cheese is insane). You used to have to pay extra for that side of sweet potato fries, but not anymore. The serving of sweet potatoes fries is just…sad in comparison to the regular fries. I think I’d rather pay the extra for the sweet potato if it means you’d get a normal serving of them, especially since the other sides are also so small.

Also placed an order at 6:53, was told 25 minutes, got there at 7:15, didn’t get the order until almost 7:50. They weren’t very busy aside from a larger table in the back and a few people at the bar. The wait wasn’t really an issue until the third time being told to come back in another 10 minutes.

The food was sub par. The side of mac & cheese tasted like just plain noodles. The sandwiches were okay, wish there was more BBQ sauce on my regular brisket, it was a bit dry.

I’ll assume it was an off night for them and just dock one star for this and will have to try again another night.”

“I ordered an antipasto salad I thought on their website but the order did not go through. I stopped in for pick up on a Monday evening, there were no other customers and no wait. I inquired about online order but staff was able to make antipasto and said it would only take a few minutes. It is an authentic antipasto and huge portion with everything you could think of going into an antipasto! Artichokes, meats, cheeses, veggie galore, including Giardinera! Total $16 and change a great price for the portion and amount of ingredients! This was my first order and I will definitely be returning! I prefer a more simple version but this was consumed and raved about. This was takeout but plenty of seating for dine in with a classic Italian pizzeria vibe.”
