“Great local brewery in the Syracuse area. Very busy on a Saturday evening. With the weather being so great, a band playing- the venue needed more than two employees or a different bar system. Maybe even modify the building to have a bar window. The team was nice. Service was just slow with the crowd. Liked the farm aspect. Enjoyed the outdoor space.”

“Great little bakery with awesome sweets. First time here, stopped last evening for cinnamon rolls and they were sold out so we bought some cookies and they were great(so big we ate 1/2). Went back this morning to get the rolls and there was a short line. Donuts, carrot cake, cinnamon roll with PB frosting... everything looked great, prices are really reasonable and the staff so friendly.”

“My time at this restaurant was enjoyable and pleasant! My sister and I got only appetizers and lentil soup to share among the both of us. We got Chili pakoras, potato tikki, potato samosas, and steamed idly. All these things were delicious but our ultimate favorite was the potato tikki. My own slight disappointment was that on their website they advertised having dosas when they actually do not. Besides that this restaurant is amazing! Staff was amazing just like their food! :)”

“A don't miss eatery when in Skaneatales for terrific (not-junky) fried fish. We were skeptical when we saw the long line of people waiting for takeout at Doug's because the Finger Lakes are known for the excellent fishing there. Every fancy place serves cod or scrod or haddock although these might not be local .. anyway, we noticed a newer sit-down Doug's Dining Room next door and figured if they expanded, they must be good.We were happy we queued up because the line zips right through. Fried fish was a 10" slab of gently breaded, not greasy flounder in a soft, squishy bun. French fries are perfection. No fried clams till Fridays and no calamari left but my hubby had a Lobster Roll he adored. Seafood soup and gumbo smelled delicious. Grilled shrimp skewers landed on the table next to us and looked fabulous. Doug's a super local place with hysterical fish joke signs and vats of tartar sauce and ketchup on the side counters. There are formica tables inside and picnic tables out back too. Prices are circa 1964 so you'll enjoy that too.”

“This was a real treat for me. I was in the area for a Dr's appointment and it was my first time in town. After the appointment I needed something mild for my stomach. I found this place on Google, stopped in to check out the menu, and ordered some Chicken Pho. It was super tasty and available as gluten free. The woman who waited on my was very nice and checked in on me several times, which I appreciated very much. Here are my reasons:1) Time Management + Customer Service: I believe the time it takes to be served after placing an order is crucial in any restaurant. I'm not suggesting service should be as quick as a fast food chain's, but I've often experienced extremely long waits, almost an hour, especially in diners during weekends. Since my visit was on a Sunday morning and the place was full of customers, I was concerned about a possible long wait. However, our welcoming server, Deanna, quickly took my order and kindly recommended options as I was contemplating among several choices. To my surprise, I received my food within 5 minutes. I was impressed and realized this efficiency was possible because all staff members were handling their responsibilities professionally and promptly. Therefore, I was very satisfied and wish to praise their professionalism.2) Food: Naturally, food is also a crucial factor in evaluating restaurants. I tried the ‘Biscuit Bowl,’ which includes biscuits, eggs, potatoes, and bacon with a special sauce. It was delightful. The dish was neither too salty nor too sweet, striking a perfect balance. Several other menu items looked enticing, and I'm eager to try them next time.Overall, I'm thrilled to have discovered this place and to see everyone enjoying their meals. “A beautiful building in a quiet remote location just a few minutes from Baldwinsville. My first visit here was for a Mardi Gras show by the Soda Ash Six. They had a special menu of cocktails, apps and mains for the show. I ordered a spicy rum cocktail to start, along with the Oyster Po Boy sandwich with fries. I asked for garlic aioli instead of ketchup for no upcharge. Everything was perfectly done. I finished with a blackberry gin based cocktail for dessert. I would easily come here again.”

I opted out of home fries and replaced it with fresh cooked spinach. With two poached eggs, everything was delicious. My server was Alisha. She had a pleasant disposition and was very attentive.
