“My time at this restaurant was enjoyable and pleasant! My sister and I got only appetizers and lentil soup to share among the both of us. We got Chili pakoras, potato tikki, potato samosas, and steamed idly. All these things were delicious but our ultimate favorite was the potato tikki. My own slight disappointment was that on their website they advertised having dosas when they actually do not. Besides that this restaurant is amazing! Staff was amazing just like their food! :)”

Every one was friendly and helpful.The scallops were sweet as they should be,hubby's 2 pc fried fish was really great and plenty,he ended up taking it home and air fried it the next day, potatoes were real mashed potatoes. “This was a real treat for me. I was in the area for a Dr's appointment and it was my first time in town. After the appointment I needed something mild for my stomach. I found this place on Google, stopped in to check out the menu, and ordered some Chicken Pho. It was super tasty and available as gluten free. The woman who waited on my was very nice and checked in on me several times, which I appreciated very much. “A don't miss eatery when in Skaneatales for terrific (not-junky) fried fish. We were skeptical when we saw the long line of people waiting for takeout at Doug's because the Finger Lakes are known for the excellent fishing there. Every fancy place serves cod or scrod or haddock although these might not be local .. anyway, we noticed a newer sit-down Doug's Dining Room next door and figured if they expanded, they must be good.We were happy we queued up because the line zips right through. Fried fish was a 10" slab of gently breaded, not greasy flounder in a soft, squishy bun. French fries are perfection. No fried clams till Fridays and no calamari left but my hubby had a Lobster Roll he adored. Seafood soup and gumbo smelled delicious. Grilled shrimp skewers landed on the table next to us and looked fabulous. Doug's a super local place with hysterical fish joke signs and vats of tartar sauce and ketchup on the side counters. There are formica tables inside and picnic tables out back too. Prices are circa 1964 so you'll enjoy that too.”

“A beautiful building in a quiet remote location just a few minutes from Baldwinsville. My first visit here was for a Mardi Gras show by the Soda Ash Six. They had a special menu of cocktails, apps and mains for the show. I ordered a spicy rum cocktail to start, along with the Oyster Po Boy sandwich with fries. I asked for garlic aioli instead of ketchup for no upcharge. Everything was perfectly done. I finished with a blackberry gin based cocktail for dessert. I would easily come here again.”

“My breakfast was steak & eggs. Usually, when I go to diners, the steaks are thin and tough. This steak was thick and properly cooked. I opted out of home fries and replaced it with fresh cooked spinach. With two poached eggs, everything was delicious. My server was Alisha. She had a pleasant disposition and was very attentive. “Stumbled upon this quaint restaurant the other day and I had to leave a review on the best server I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, Tony!The one lace was packed but I came alone for a quick bite because I was on my way to a meeting but Tony came up and got me a spot at the bar. As I’m looking at the menu we polite palaver and he suggest a some dishes, listening to him changed my life!!! When my food came out he noticed me about to pray over it and he stops he saying he knew I was in a rush so he blessed it while it was being prepared! This man was a god send. One might call him the Anthony Bourdain of the front of house.”

Everything is always very good here.People behind the counter are always very friendly....... This trip I picked up 6 cookies a cake and a loaf of bread.... A little more than I normally do but it is all worth it....Parking: Parking lot in front of the building never an issue for parking as people are typically in and out of this business and the business next door......”

My wife and I were hosting a couples shower for our daughter’s upcoming wedding and we ordered half a sheet cake with red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting, I briefly mentioned that our daughter liked the outdoors and if they could put a pine tree and maybe an outline of mountains on the cake if possible. We were amazed how perfect the cake came out when we went to pick it up, The detail was incredible and everyone at the party kept asking where we got it from.If that wasn’t enough, we had also ordered a tray of mini pastries for the party and they were all perfect and tasted great.We highly recommend Patisserie for that special event or just to grab a treat after dining at the Sherwood Inn.”
