Kind of bright for a bar. Great for craft beer lovers. The clientele make for a very friendly atmosphere. It would be nice if they had a real kitchen, or at least some small snacks available for the thirsty patrons. I will be going back ...
Had a great time here with the family, stopping in for a few drinks and some fresh food. The pork flatbread was insane — highly recommend. I’m a Pilsner & Lager guy, so I went with the Northern Neighbors and Al Dente drafts, both excellent. Great food, great beer, and great vibes all around. Will definitely be back!
As a weekly visitor to The Lock Tender, I always look forward to the rotation of craft beers on tap. From IPA'S to sours to stouts. There's never a lack of choices. And the can cooler is perpetually filled with a variety of beers and ciders. The staff is always very engaging and happy to let patrons sample any beer they may be interested in. Lock Tender Tap Room is a cozy, smaller bar with a great atmosphere and a mostly older-ish crowd. It has a huge beer selection from the lightest lights to the heaviest darks, with a tap list that rotates fast. There are also ciders and wine, as well as coolers to buy unique beers or mix and match different cans for a 4-pk to go. The food menu is unique, affordable, and delicious. Specific meals mentioned include the potato knock, Cubano panini, smash burger, and different types of Knish. Service is always kind, knowledgeable, and exceptional. The noise inside is at a perfect level, mostly general chit chat, so guests can enjoy a conversation. The atmosphere is busy on sunny Sundays, and the special tastings and other events are creative and fun. This is a great spot to support a small local business.
