“The best sandwiches in the area, hands down. Friendly staff; clean and well put together place; convenient order by text option. $14 gets you a solid & tasty footlong sandwich. Ultimate fav is Chez Arthur, a veggie eggplant parm always done right; Class in Session, Mexican, Brooklyn bridge, Burrito bowls, Uncle Giuseppe's, are all also quite the business. A must try. You can buy a lottery ticket next door if you feel you have spent too much whilst there.“

“Ardito's is staple of the community there in Mineola. Anyone who knows Rosa and Tony will agree with me that they are both amazing. The food is always on point and handed to you with a smile. The lunch hours can get pretty crowded and busy but is worth the wait. I recommend Arditos for everything from sandwiches to salads and pasta.. eggplant parm to die for and some of the best chicken cutlets I have ever had!“

“The food I bought was so good!! Cannot wait to go back for more. The people were extremely nice and very helpful.“
“The place has recently undergone a management change as well as a makeover. The pictures you see are not current. It's way nicer looking now.
The food is way better now. The staff is cool.
My favorite hot lunch is grilled chicken with provolone and Russian dressing on a plain wrap.
My favorite cold lunch is chicken salad with bacon and black pepper on a plain wrap.
The iced tea is fantastic too!“

“The place is nice! The parking is street parking though. The food is delicious! I had chicken sorrento which was amazingly good. Great servers too! The owner is a great guy, got to meet him.... this was the 2nd time I was there, I recommend Amici's if you enjoy Italian food. It's a restaurant, not a deli.“

“Great food, great service, very nice and helpful people. Always fresh products.“
“Went to pick up some food and it would be a few more minutes. So I got a chance to watch them all preparing for the lunch rush. There's nothing like food that was prepared perfectly. These women should be proud if the job they do. It's easy to overlook the work that goes into freshly prepared. Incredible and I can't wait to go back. You owe it to yourself to try a restaurant in your own neighborhood that you didn't even realize was there and how good it was. I should of taken a picture of the food. No more smashed cheese burger from the big chains. Open your mind to ideas for lunch and try these small privately owned places. They take so much pride into their work. Many cultures see cooking as a privilege, this seems to be one of them. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“the hot food was alright, a little too salty for my preference but i recommend everyone go here 1-2x at least. the service is absolutely amazing, the workers are friendly and charming. the coffee is also delicious even though i usually don't like to drink coffee. the cashier always gets a little bit crowded with nowhere to wait for your food though.“
“The food is always fresh and hot. There omelets and home fries are delicious as they are full of flavor and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. There french fries are delicious I didn't need any ketchup. The quality of the food is great as well as the portions. I find the staff to be very friendly. This is a terrific place to get delicious food.“

“We returned for a visit from Minnesota-greeted Keith and he welcomed us back. With a complementary Breakfast Bacon Egg and Cheese on Good Ol’ Kaiser Roll 👍. We Left East Norwich 20 months ago to be closer to family. Really missed “Our Favorite Personal Deli” and Keith’s great staff - you can bet we will be back for several breakfasts and lunches during our 5 day vacation“
“One of the best Deli’s on Long Island. Large variety of food and salads. Clean building and friendly staff. They even have a brick oven for pizza and calzones. A little expensive but definitely worth it. They even own the restaurant (Franina’s) next door. Great food from both places.“

“Delicious sandwiches! The hot pastrami is highly recommended. The pastrami was the perfect blend of salty and savory. The rye bread was soft and fresh. Each sandwich came with pickles. If you’re looking for a perfect New York deli, you’ve found it!“
“Took the pup to a dog run in Eisenhower Park and stopped here for a sandwich. I missed them last time when I was coming back from jones beach by a few minutes since they close early at 4pm. Lady working suggested chicken cutlets since they just came out and they were crispy and delicious. Ordered a hero with chicken cutlets, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. $14.67 but Yum.“

“Right across the street from the local 711. They have everything the 711 has except in some instances cheaper. There is never a wait and due to the fact that it is "mom and pop", they go out of their way to cater to your individual needs.“

“Around 1970 or so, there were two delis on Jericho Turnpike, Johnny’s and Werner’s. (honorable mention to Ardito’s, which is still there and apparently still owned by the Ardito’s). I noticed Werner’s was still there. Werner must be about 100 years old by now. When I checked it out I learned Werner’s isn’t really Werner’s anymore. I read a review that said the new owners would have made Werner proud. I have to agree. A little less emphasis on salads and catering, but great selection of specialty sandwiches, excellent fresh bread and rolls, and fair prices.“

“I have to give this breakfast a 5-star review. I was golfing at Harbor Links and decided to go to the diner, but it was closed at 6:00 am. This deli was a few store fronts away. I had the best Spanish/Western breakfast omelet I have eaten in a very long time. First of all, the omelet was not greasy, the vegetables were fresh, and it was a 3-egg omelet. The side of potatoes were boiled to perfection, lightly seasoned and pan fried. If you live in Port Washington this is the place to go for a terrific egg breakfast plus the coffee was fabulous!!! I will be back to eat here before my tee times!! Kudos to a great kitchen staff !!“
“Since I am not in love with cooking, and I enjoy my Spanish food, my hubby and I come here often. They is always a big selection, food is freshly cooked. Love the service, everyone is always so upbeat and friendly. prices are very moderate. This is mostly a take out establishment though. Hopfully they will be around for a long while.“

“This is the last of a dying breed of Italian specialty deli/grocery stores, they have a variety of daily hot dishes, not to mention every cold, cut and cheese under the sun, sauces, pastas, and specialty items from Italy, this is my go to for any Italian goody or product that I can't find anywhere else“
“I work around the corner and just had my first bacon egg and cheese from this spot. One word, DELICIOUS!! I ordered it scrambled and it was perfect. Staff was friendly and attentive. Your presence won’t be ignored like some other delis. Will be back for more!“
“Sadly, this place has now changed hands after a kitchen fire caused it to shut down. Anthony and his crew will be sorely missed, as this was THE BEST deli of all time on all of Long Island. Yes, I've been to any deli thats ever gotten any decent review. No, none of them compared. I wish Anthony and his family the best. RIP Talentis. ?“
“Marinis deli is the best deli to visit for food or snacks! Marinis deli is THEE place to go in Port Chester for real Italian food. The cold cuts are the real deal and Ricky makes several daily. if you are from Port Chester, Marini's is a staple, a must go to deli. Rickie, Angel and the crew serve up great lunches, several hot selections a day. They cater all events, and the prices are right.“
“Best place to be. Such a familiar atmosphere and the clerks are all so handsome.“
“Deli San Eduardo means feeling at home, typical Latin American food, every day for those who love beans, rice, there is no shortage of them, they have bread made right there, their treatment is friendly and respectful, always a greeting, there is consumption in The place also takes away, the prices are within everyone's reach.
Parking: If you are going to buy food or consumption there it is fine otherwise you must have the parking sticker.
Kid-friendliness: Yes it can be consumed as a family
Wheelchair accessibility: If there is access at both doors“

“I came across this deli when I was getting my hair cut next door. What drew my attention was the kimbap and the tteokbokki they make. The nice lady makes them fresh every day. I have gotten tteokbokki plenty of times before in restaurants but this one tasted so flavorful and the tteok was the perfect consistency! The kimbap is my favorite and it’s already my second time coming! Highly recommend. 너무 너무 맛있어요!!“

“I live in Suffolk and had practically given up on pastrami because it's always bad. The pastrami here was perfect. The two kinds of potato salad were both the best I've had in years. The sandwich wasn't overstuffed, as so many are, but I'm very happy to take quality over quantity.
Parking: I didn't realize there was an off-street lot nearby on the same side of the street, ended up parking across the street.“
“Jumped in and out for a few breakfasts here. While as vegetarian there may not be tons of options for me, I love them for my quick - NY Deli coffee, egg’n cheese fixes. The folks are always helpful. They keep everything super clean, tidy. And the dishes look very tasty. Some sandwiches that folks order here are out of this world. Like this morning someone had ordered - refried beans on a roll (as the dressing) with eggs and peppers (bake), topped with sliced chicken tenders, and sliver of fresh cheese (not sure if it was fresco, blanco or another). And the prep had that sandwich stacked so well and packed it like he could have had it while running for the bus! Awesome stuff.“
“Can't say too much about the food because I only just get smoothies. The staff is super friendly and assist you right away. The smoothies are out of this world. Best smoothies in Port Chester hands down. I highly recommend the smoothies.
Parking: Plenty of on street parking but if there are no spots to park go right around back there is a lot
Wheelchair accessibility: Can get in store easily with a wheelchair.“

“Cosmos Delicatessen - A Gem in Mamaroneck
252 Mamaroneck Ave, Mamaroneck, NY 10543
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Cosmos Delicatessen, and let me tell you—it’s a true gem. My first encounter there was rather unconventional. Four days ago, I found myself sitting in their outdoor seating area, casually indulging in Dunkin' coffee and donuts. Not exactly polite, I know, but the owner was all smiles and didn’t mind at all—a testament to the warm and welcoming vibe of this place.
The very next day, I decided to make amends by diving into their offerings. I grabbed a breakfast sandwich that was absolutely phenomenal—perfectly crafted, flavorful, and satisfying. I also picked up some Italian danishes to bring home for friends in Maryland, which turned out to be a massive hit.
The day after that, Terry swung by to grab some candy gifts for our Crisfield neighbors, and once again, Cosmos delivered. Their selection of Italian treats and gifts is second to none, showcasing everything from authentic deli fare to unique, high-quality goodies you won’t find elsewhere.
Beyond the fantastic food and products, the staff deserves a special mention. They’re friendly, attentive, and make every visit a pleasure. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, stocking up on treats, or looking for the perfect gift, Cosmos Delicatessen is an absolute must-visit. This place embodies great food, great people, and a true love for their craft. Can’t wait to stop by again!
