“Very enjoyable sushi restaurant. I went here for a good dinner and was able to try a good spread of sushi for a reasonable cost.We started with the pork gyoza, which was nice and pan-fried with a side of the classic ginger sauce. For rolls, we tried the Philly roll, atlantic beach roll, pink panther roll, and million dollar roll. All fresh and tasty, but nothing really stood out above the rest.I would recommend this place for some good choices of sushi.

“This is the best sushi and sashimi spot on Long Island. This place is clean, the fish is fresh and every item we tried on the menu was delicious. We went in low expectations given sushi is better in manhattan but I feel we've found a gem locally. They had a stir friend udon noodle chicken dish which the kids devoured. I was skeptical but the udon noodles had the perfect shiitake mushrooms flavor and really were delicious. We ordered yellowtail jalepeno, another white tuna truffle, rock shrimp,edamame, gyoza, 355 roll, mikado inspiration sashimi and the chicken udon noodles. The host was sweet and helped in recommending items for our kids. The place is kid friendly. Highly recommended this place.“

“This restaraunt has GREAT food, fair prices, excellent service, friendly staff, it has a great atmosphere, they are very accommodating, and there is always parking. If there is a wait it is just a couple of minutes, they try to get you started as quicky as possible. “This sushi spot exceeded all expectations. The platter was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. Every roll was delicious—from the tuna and salmon to the mango-topped rolls and tamago. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite.

What makes it even better is that it’s kosher, which is such a huge plus. Perfect balance of flavors, generous portions, and everything was fresh and satisfying.

“I'd recommend this place ... sort of. We chose to sit on the dining side since it was only two of us and didn't want the "show". The service was friendly and good but not overly attentive. Our drinks were very good and a fair price (we had the Oceanside Zombie but without the Sprite added). We both ordered the hibachi surf and turf (lobster and filet mignon) which came with a house salad and clear soup, both of which we really enjoyed. The filet was tasty but the pieces were cut very unevenly so some pieces were medium rare and others were close to well done. The lobster tail was very small and too salty. I would not order it again. I was completely disappointed that the veggies were drowning in teriyaki sauce. There was no indication on the menu that they are served in sauce. I typically love hibachi vegetables but I hate teriyaki sauce! They reminded me more of Chinese takeout vegetables than Japanese hibachi. The fried rice was good but not the best. It came with lots of peas and I hate peas. Another disappointment but not a surprise was they don't offer hibachi mustard sauce. Like so many other places these days they offer yum yum sauce instead which we refused because, yuck yuck. They offered us some ice cream on the house (I think because the server knew I was very disappointed about the teriyaki sauce). It came to the table in little plastic cafeteria style cups with the pull back paper top. LOL. I'm glad it did though because the top listed the ingredients and let's just say, we immediately sent the ice cream back. All in all, not the greatest hibachi experience but also not the worst. I would maybe go back for drinks and try some other menu items ... and hold the teriyaki sauce!“

“The food is here is by far one of the more reliable places to get Asian Cuisine. The food is not overly fried or heavily seasoned. We come here occasionally after the dog park visit, and we have yet to be disappointed. The wonton soup is a must have, better than anywhere else I have tried. The prices are also very good. Normally I have something criticizing to say but I genuinely appreciate this place for a cheat night. You won’t feel guilty with the fun of take out. The place is small and there isn’t anywhere to eat if you wanted. The customer service is good, however you will need to wait in your car because there isn’t much room to wait inside and no where to sit. Give it a try. Photo is my wife pounding down one of their egg rolls because she can’t wait till we get home (Not oily at all). As healthy as Chinese food can probably get in NYC.“

“An absolute and unexpected fantastic experience. The high quality food was freshly prepared and the service was so polite and friendly. They really understand takeout and pack the sauces and liquids separately so the food doesn't become soggy. The sushi and sashimi are prepared to order but they are very efficient and the wait time is not so long. Mizu is a huge step up from the usual asian takeout. It's restaurant quality.“

Chef note, the soups could be updated for broth flavor, the eggplant and tofu needs a sauce update. The nassau sushi is perfect. The shrimp tempura is perfect and the fry oil is Fresh! The owner is very attentive to the restaurant operation. I will return.“

“The sushi here is consistently delicious and always hits the spot. While it’s more of a takeout-style spot than a full dine-in restaurant, it’s absolutely perfect for ordering and enjoying at home. “Went tonight with my family of 5. We were seated with three others at our table. We ordered 3 extra noodles and 3 extra vegetables for our group of 5. When we were served, there was a very tiny portion of noodles and our extra vegetables were split among all 8 people at our table, even though we ordered for our party of 5 and were not with the others. My son ordered extra rice which he didn’t get and I had to wait for the waiter to fry me a steak because he ran out of the first batch. The food tasted good but I didn’t get what I paid for and I am disappointed.“

“My husband and I come here quite often. We have always had a good experience. The food is fresh and the service is speedy. We have a few rolls and dishes we almost always order and add a new item every so often to give it a try. Our drink of choice is a zombie.“

“I ordered take out party platters over the phone for the workplace this past Thursday and my co-workers and I couldn't have been more pleased. The initial ordering process was smooth. Pickup was on time at 12pm even though they only open at 1130am. And the sushi, as always, was fresh and delicious. Each party platter could easily feed 4-5 people and are reasonably priced. Everyone wants to order from here again in the future (even with work being in Westbury).“

“We came in on a Sunday about 8:40, well before the listed 9:30 closing time, and were warned as we came in that they actually close at 9:20. It seemed odd that it would be an issue with plenty of time to order; but apparently unlike most restaurants the closing time is a matter of when they expect you to actually leave.

Still, with seemingly enough time, we ordered, and the appetizer - soft shell crab - came quickly. Unfortunately, though it was not one of the dishes listed as “spicy”, it came with spicy mayo on top. I told the server that I can’t eat spicy food, would not have ordered it if I had known, and asked her to take it back. She gave me an argument, saying I should have told her I can’t eat spicy food. I pointed out that since they list some dishes specifically as spicy, one would assume - as in most other restaurants - that the rest are not. She reluctantly took it back, and informed us the Angel Roll we had ordered, also not labeled spicy, came with spicy mayo on top as well, so we also asked for that to be redone.

This pushed things closer to closing time, and rushed our meal a bit. But I have to say that the food was wonderful: The crab crisp outside, moist inside; the sushi fresh, and the pineapple shrimp fried rice delicious.

So despite the unfortunate attitude we encountered, this restaurant is well worth the trip for the excellent food. Just keep in mind that the closing time is not what’s listed on the website. And that it’s best, whatever the menu says, to ask details before ordering.“
