“As I entered this place , I seen how cute and clean it looks. They are polite and patient and receiving the food was fast like max 10 minutes wait. I ordered 3 rolls, the spicy shrimp, sweet potato and spicy tuna roll, which came out to under $25 dollars and I wasn't able to finish it which I'm happy about so I can enjoy again :) I will definitely hit this spot again , I'm glad it's here“

“I pass by this often but never went in. I finally got a strong craving for sushi and stopped by. The prices are good at the quality is delicious. The cashier/staff was very welcoming and great with recommendations. I got a mango tango, dragon roll, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna. It seems like there are regulars in this small place but i can see why. They are speedy for a quick lunch break.

“Went to Otaki Sushi for lunch and it was worth it. The service was on point; our server was super polite, always checking in, and she made sure our hot tea was never empty. The tea is really good and pipping hot not warm.

We had the salmon teriyaki bento boxes for $14, and you definitely get your money’s worth. The salmon was fresh, no fishy smell, cooked perfectly with a nice crust outside but still moist in the middle, and not drowning in sauce. It comes with broccoli, snow peas, and corn. I like my veggies crunchy so I enjoyed it, but if you like them softer, I’d just mention that when ordering.

The bento also came with California rolls, and those were really good too. Between the portion size, quality, and service, you leave full and happy. Five out of five.“

“I’ve been coming here on and off for many years — this place has probably been around at least 20 years. It’s one of those old neighborhood sushi spots a lot of locals know about.

This is Korean-style sushi, which is a little different from traditional Japanese sushi. One thing that makes it unique is they give you Korean spicy sauce to dip the sushi in, which actually adds a nice kick and a different flavor.

Also just a heads up, this place is take-out only, so you’re basically grabbing your food and going.

The portions are still pretty generous, so if you’re just trying to eat a lot and get full, this place does the job.

That said, prices have gone up recently and the sashimi slices seem to be getting smaller compared to years ago.

If you're looking for real high-end sushi, this probably isn’t the place. But if you want a lot of sushi for the money and a quick takeout meal, it still works.“

Im crazy of sashimi.
It is very impossible to find raw live fish in other states.
But, Only N.Y and L.A. does have this because they have so enough sashimi restaurants with high demand that they could import raw fishes with acceptable Transportation costs from korea by airplanes.
This is economies of scale.
Anyway,
Sashimi was excellent for me.
Service and Atmosphere doesn't matter to me.
I was so happy to enjoy live fish.
I recommend you to visit if you like to live seafood.“

Parking can be a little tough especially during movie nights but not impossible. Very reasonable prices. Overall highly recommend.“

“I’ve been to a lot of sushi spots in NYC and Long Island, but Daruma of Tokyo in Great Neck honestly surprised me in the best way. The vibe here is so warm and inviting, the staff actually pay attention to you, check in without hovering, and make you feel comfortable right away. The sushi was unbelievably fresh. I’m picky about sashimi, and theirs tasted clean and smooth with zero fishy aftertaste. The tuna practically melts, and the salmon had that perfect buttery texture you only get from really high-quality cuts. The amaebi and ikura were standouts too, sweet, fresh, and not overly briny. You can tell they take their time with the prep because everything came out beautifully presented.

One thing that really impressed me was the pricing. For the quality you’re getting, it honestly feels like a steal. I’ve paid way more at places that didn’t even come close. This spot proves you don’t need to drop crazy money just to get genuinely good sushi.
