As someone from the southern US, the All Star Special from Waffle House is something I have been searching for a version of in NYC for years. They have a combo at New York Diner that’s 2 eggs, meat, potatoes, toast, a waffle, and coffee/orange juice all for unbelievably cheap. I have finally found the NYC All Star Special. It’s a diner in Queens, which is a dying breed. Popped in while waiting on a windshield repair at SafeLite. Got the huevos con chorizo and a coffee. It’s not Mexican style but it is delicious. Coffee was topped up regularly. It ain’t fancy but it’s real and good.
