To be honest, I wasn’t particularly impressed by the smoky aroma of the BBQ on charcoal. While it was certainly intimidating, the taste was dry. I could have done better, but it’s a different style of cooking compared to traditional chicken over rice on a grill. So, it’s a unique experience, but that’s about it. The place isn’t very tidy, and I think the owner should consider improving the ambiance.
My family has eaten food from here for years and honestly it’s really good, it’s fresh and flavorful. Underrated

Steinway Halal Grill is the best spot for delicious chicken cooked perfectly. The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere, and the outdoor seating adds to the experience. The food is always fresh, with generous portions at a great price - a half chicken with two soups and two kinds of rice for $15 is a steal. While the service could be improved, it remains a favorite food cart in NYC.
