Sweet Chick Reviews
Went to the 16th st in nyc, first time, order a OG sandwich from their menu $14.58, they lady at the front counter was polite however you can tell she rather be 1000 miles away from that place, the sandwich was not at all what i expected very very dry meat no flavor, in fact the whole sandwich was a plain hard dry chicken with the bun nothing else, not sauce not nothing very disappointing experience
Chicken is good! Seasoned & flavorful!
Fries good too!
Mac & Cheese needs to go back to the basics.

Sweet Chick is a cozy neighborhood spot in Long Island City, offering reasonable prices. The fried chicken basket is a hit, though the french fries could use more flavor. Customers can enjoy a variety of frozen drink choices, including the peach slushi. The staff provides great recommendations and service, and the signature sandwich and wing sauces are flavorful and worth trying. The chicken and waffles are outstanding, with the chicken being crispy, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, while the waffle is perfectly buttery with a slight crisp. The Cobb salad is also a great option, complemented by the ranch dressing.
Customers have been pleasantly surprised by the shocking amount of vegan and vegetarian options, with the ability to substitute meat with vegan chicken. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even for those who arrive close to closing time. The ambiance has a standard "fast food" vibe.
The menu offers a wide range of delicious options, from the filling pancakes to the fantastic chicken and waffles, Nashville chicken sandwich, and mac and cheese. Customers recommend trying the rum cocktails, and the restaurant is suitable for groups and events. The brunch special with grits is a popular choice, and the wings tossed in sauce are also highly recommended. The service is friendly, and the restaurant doesn't rush customers out the door, creating a more upscale experience despite the fast-food-like ambiance.
