“I’m out in the field working in #Lynbrook, I couldn't resist indulging in some junk food for lunch today, and I chose to visit the KFC in Lynbrook. Let me tell you, it was an excellent decision! The moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the great service and the modern, clean layout of the restaurant. The staff at this KFC location truly deserves recognition. They were incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit. I had a wonderful conversation with Osairas, one of the employees who is juggling school and work. It's inspiring to see such dedication! Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the nuggets. These little delights were introduced to me by another KFC employee earlier this week, and I have to say they're simply addictive. In my opinion, they surpass any competition out there. I paired them with a side order of corn and added some creamy mashed potatoes to complete the meal. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a refreshing fountain soda drink. Although this may be my last week indulging in fast food, as I'm starting my 75 Hard workout challenge next week, I can confidently say that KFC in Lynbrook is worth recommending. The overall experience was fantastic, and the availability of good parking adds to the convenience. If you're in town, don't miss out on the deliciousness #KFC has to offer. “A hidden gem that is a favorite for the locals in the area. With an amazing menu with some great options. Definitely worth checking out!

Food: 🍽 I'ma start with the first meal that I ever got from here. The Jerk chicken platter with salad over rice. It's was delicious and amazing with the right amount of spicyness. The rice and salad was delicious. It was even more amazing with their go to special sauce combinations of Caribbean Gold Sauce and Garlic Cilantro sauce. All of my orders get those 2 combo of sauces. Which goes amazing on everything specially their Fries and Tenders. The Jerk Chicken Tacos are also amazing. My favorite order now is the Fried Shrimp Platter with French Fries covered in Caribbean Gold Sauce and the Garlic Cilantro. There is also some amazing doughnuts options to choose from now but I have not tried them yet. They look amazing! I will definitely try those next time.

Price: 💲the Jerk Chicken platter is $11.99 and the Jerk Chicken Tacos are $6.99 for 3. The Shrimp platter with fries is $13. Most of their meals are around the $11 to $15 range.

Customer Service: 🧑‍💼 The staff is very friendly and will help you choose from the menu if it's your first time and you don't know what to get. I have been coming here for a while now so I have tried almost everything on the menu. So keep in mind it will take a few visits to try everything.

“Mr. Dak is definitely a spot worth visiting if you're craving delicious Korean food. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The avocado chicken cucumber salad was light, refreshing, and a perfect starter. The wings were crispy, juicy, and came with amazing flavor options. The chicken with rice was incredibly satisfying with generous portions, and the ramen was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor.

“AWESOME KOREAN RESTAURANT IN LONG ISLAND: I’m not a foodie and I don’t think I’ve ever posted about restaurants (but I am Korean) - I have to make an exception for this place. Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. It’s crazy awesome! Thanks to my friend for encouraging me to try at a Korean restaurant that is not in Queens. “Honestly, this place is so slept on... Krave It has the best pizza in Bayside— by a LANDSLIDE. I love that they use unbromated flour and I appreciate that every piece (even the specialty slices with many heavy toppings) has great structure, no flop. Thin & crispy crust, great ratio of sauce and cheese. I also love how clean the restaurant is. They have some incredible specialty slices that I never knew I needed in my life until I tried them! Especially the “Desi Boy” slice and the “white truffle chicken cutlet” slice. I also have to mention their vodka slice with sesame crust 🤤 Everything in this place is high quality, even their regular slices. Their sandwiches are pretty incredible too, and you can tell that the bread is fresh made in house— you don’t feel bloated or overly stuffed after eating them! The owner is super friendly and even gave us a couple extra slices to try to complete our “pie” when we had already ordered a small variety of slices. The staff are all very friendly and it feels very comfortable and less stuffy than some of the other pizzerias in the area. Happy to give this place my business. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

“Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

“El Rincón Dominicano is a restaurant in Hempstead known for its delicious Dominican and Spanish food. We ordered the chicharrón which was moist and crisp. Just the way it should be cooked. I had the grilled stead. It was very flavorful and tender. My niece had the skirt steak which was out of this world. The steak melted in your mouth. My sister-ion-law had the pernil which is her favorite. The food is cooked to perfection, and we left with plenty for another meal. The staff is helpful, friendly, and attentive, providing great customer service. Parking is a bit of an issue, but we were lucky in getting a spot in the lot. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are offered. El Rincón Dominicano is well-loved by my family. While we live in NJ, we will visit again.“

I remember there used to be a Papa’s chicken in Midwood years ago and so I decided to try this.

The man who took my order was very fast. Very efficient.

I ordered the Combo 1 with the Spicy chicken sandwich, spicy wings and french fries along with a water. Total cost was 13:05 paid with credit.

I ate the spicy chicken sandwich there and it was so GOOD. And very fulfilling. Couldn’t even eat the wings and fries. Later had them and wings were good. Fries were ok.

There’s 3-4 tables and they had the ac on which was nice. It was a hot day. Too hot. As I was eating started feeling hot again.

I sat down after giving the order and saw that the tables could use a clean. Floor needed a clean too.

There was a Mexican station / restaurant inside this restaurant as well.

Also - no bathroom. Not cool for me but food was good.

Overall I would come again.

Unfortunately branching from our usual wasn't the best with the table side chicken parm instead of the garlic knots, not a lot of pasta and for the price point it felt like we were paying for a cheese pouring presentation. Love the food and people at the location but the chicken parm is all show and no volume.“
