“I’m out in the field working in #Lynbrook, I couldn't resist indulging in some junk food for lunch today, and I chose to visit the KFC in Lynbrook. Let me tell you, it was an excellent decision! The moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the great service and the modern, clean layout of the restaurant. The staff at this KFC location truly deserves recognition. They were incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit. I had a wonderful conversation with Osairas, one of the employees who is juggling school and work. It's inspiring to see such dedication! Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the nuggets. These little delights were introduced to me by another KFC employee earlier this week, and I have to say they're simply addictive. In my opinion, they surpass any competition out there. I paired them with a side order of corn and added some creamy mashed potatoes to complete the meal. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a refreshing fountain soda drink. Although this may be my last week indulging in fast food, as I'm starting my 75 Hard workout challenge next week, I can confidently say that KFC in Lynbrook is worth recommending. The overall experience was fantastic, and the availability of good parking adds to the convenience. If you're in town, don't miss out on the deliciousness #KFC has to offer. “The Jerk Loaded Plantain is such a unique concept and definitely worth trying. The flavors were incredible but I do wish it came with more jerk chicken. The plantain to chicken ratio felt a bit off. That said, the jerk chicken itself is absolutely delicious, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu that includes the jerk chicken. I’d definitely be back.“

“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

The avocado chicken cucumber salad was light, refreshing, and a perfect starter. The wings were crispy, juicy, and came with amazing flavor options. The chicken with rice was incredibly satisfying with generous portions, and the ramen was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor.

“AWESOME KOREAN RESTAURANT IN LONG ISLAND: I’m not a foodie and I don’t think I’ve ever posted about restaurants (but I am Korean) - I have to make an exception for this place. Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. It’s crazy awesome! Thanks to my friend for encouraging me to try at a Korean restaurant that is not in Queens. My family will be forever grateful - five stars and 2 thumbs way up from me and my family members. :)“

“I came here for the first time and it was very good. The food was amazing and the customer service was phenomenal. Very delicious and filling meal. I came with a lot of family and they did a great job taking the orders and giving us an insight about what the food is. “Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

“We ordered assorted gyros, souvlaki, tacos and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. Over all decent and accommodating to the greek culture with a twist of spanish. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

“Went here on Thursday night with five of my friends for a belated birthday celebration. The staff was very kind to us and answered all of the questions we had. The meat quality is very good and delicious for the price! And their drink menu has good variety.
I wish I took photos, but I was so hungry that I just kind of focused on eating.
One of my friends said that he wished that the salad bar would have more variety, but I was personally fine with the size of the salad bar because I was there mostly for the steaks. And the grilled pineapple with cinnamon was a good palate cleanser between servings too.“

“I used to get chicken from the a flushing location, but this one is more convenient for me. I love that it’s not just chicken burgers. I can’t eat carbs anymore, but sometimes I’m craving fried chicken. I love their fried chicken wings and drumettes. It’s so flavorful. They definitely use a bit of curry powder for seasoning. I get the mild. Their spicy can get very spicy for me. Next time I will try the roast wings or whole chicken. It’s well seasoned, chicken is crunchy, and the value for the money I paid is great! This is not really a sit down place. You can but it’s fairly no frills. Best for takeout and delivery. It’s a mom and pop shop so happy to help out. Also, the chicken isn’t overly salted like Popeyes. Good for a fried chicken fix without raising my blood pressure :)“

“I travelled 40 miles deep into Flushing Queens for the best Korean Fried Chicken! Comes with Spicy or Soy Garlic, Juicy Drumsticks or wings and with some tangy sour pickled radish or sweet creamy kimchi cole slaw. You are missing out if you have not tried this!!! You want some?! Usually I would get this when I worked the Financial District or Midtown Manhattan but this was the closest to home and they did not let me down!! Like most Korean Fried Chicken Places in Flushing or K-Town Manhattan... you can see Asian families/ laughing and eating wings with a whole pile of delicious wings dumped in the middle of the table! “I bought bubble tea and shrimp fried rice. The bubble tea was standard. I do not recommend the fried rice. They gave me yellow rice with fried onions, a few green peas and and small bleached out shrimp. Fried rice should be white rice with sauteed vegetables plus the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, scallions, cabbage etc. Where is the standard?“
