“Great new Halal place in the neighborhood that sells delicious Halal over Rice or pita as well as Tikkas, Koftas and Falafel. These are large portions as well. In addition they have wings, burgers, wraps, milkshakes, ice cream, and kulfi.

The inside is very clean and they have a good amount of seating.

I recently got the Chicken Kofta over Rice and Salad and a bit of pita. Really delicious and a large portion. I saw a couple of people there who were eating the Halal Chicken over rice, and the Falafel over Rice. It seemed like a large portion. The cooks and the grill is behind a glass window near the entrance, where you can see them making it, as well as the toppings and sauces you want to add to your meal.

I think this is my new go to Halal spot in the neighborhood.“

“The Jerk chicken platter and hot wings make this halal stand out compared to others. Always have to get one or the other. The fried fish is amazing as well. The Halal eats burger is fine dining quality.
The portions is outstanding for the price. Never been disappointed with any item.
There is a wait time for items that are not a platter due to being made fresh to order so be prepared for that.
I hope this place keeps its quality and stays open forever.

Parking: The store front is located on a corner with both sides being a no-standing bus stop. But it is Queens so of course if you’re just going to pick up the food it’s perfectly fine. But during busy times those spots may be taken which leads to parking all the way down by Dunkin’ Donuts or in the parking lot of Stop & Shop across the street.
I’be never had an issue but something to be aware of if you’re not from the area.“

When i was searching for halal food and some chai in the area didn't even know there was a Desi Pakistani restaurant. Cooco's Den .Ordered an Aloo paratha with chai eventhough it was almost the lunch time was really hungry. the owner was very nice...still made me a delicious home made paratha along with a karak chai it was amazing! ? “Came in once last week and once yesterday, a bit later during the night. Since it was this late on a Sunday I didn’t expect the food to taste that fresh. Despite this, I still got my order tasting fresh and arriving quick (<5 mins) and could see workers diligently cleaning in the kitchen and a younger man wiping down all the tables, sweeping the floors and cleaning the bathroom. I had went inside the bathroom after he was done and it was spotless, something I would never expect to see from a fast food place. “Food is alright. Prices are slightly higher than that of other halal carts in the area for the same quality. It's 7.99 a platter (I don't get why they don't just round up to 8, they never give you back the 1 cent in change anyway). Comes with a free soda but obviously the price covers that so not really free. I think they should charge $7 per platter and the extra dollar if someone wants to buy a drink. Lamb didn't really hit my craving for lamb, maybe it's a lower quality lamb. Food is made really fast.“

“Sahara Grill is, without a doubt, the best halal food cart here in Hillside, Queens! I’ve been coming here to try all the carts for over 10 years, and I can confidently say that no other cart in the area comes close. There are three other halal carts around, but they simply don’t measure up. The difference is clear – while those other spots have rude staff and serve chicken over rice that often lacks flavor or even smells off, Sahara Grill gets everything just right. Every time I come here, I know I’m getting quality food made with care.

The chicken over rice at Sahara Grill is amazing – it’s packed with flavor, the spices are perfectly balanced, and you can tell it’s fresh with every bite. They give generous portions, too, so you really feel like you’re getting great value for your money.
