“The location of this store is perfect and the food is always great. That being said service can be hit or miss, for lack of better wording. I find that though everyone is always friendly you may find ingredients missing or scarce in the warm bowl or salad that’s been ordered. There may be a lot of turn around in employees so that could account for the discrepancy.”

“Went with my boyfriend for date night and the food and environment were amazing. We had the best clams oreganata for our appetizer! Dipped the bread in the left over sauce and it was so flavorful. I had the pesto gnocchi and it melted in my mouth and was so delicious. My boyfriend had the ravioli and loved it! We will definitely be coming back with family and friends in the future!”

“Very homey feel here. Service was fast from the woman at the front who tended to multiple people. The value was excellent for breakfast, where I ordered from one of their deals. Ordered scrambled eggs with sausage and it came with toast (4 pieces), juice, and coffee. Very affordable and I'd recommend coming here. There's a parking garage and street parking on the hill to the right of this restaurant (free on Sundays).”

Opinions about this Mamaroneck institution are as strong and mixed as their cocktails, but as various bars open and close all around it, this place stays true to itself. It's a neighborhood dive bar of the sort that are ubiquitous in my native Wisconsin, but rare gems in the NYC metro. Craft cocktails and small batch IPAs will not be found here, but simple mixed drinks and domestic drafts are always on hand. Darts and a few other bar games are cheap or free, and the beautiful original window storefront opens up wide to let the warm air in on summer nights. I have had some great memories here and it always feels like a sip of home.”

“I vividly remember the old Mercurio store the was on the Avenue across from this one. What a classic Italian deli, with the servers dressed in white smocks. The variety of Italian delicacies, and the aromas, were so enticing. I was glad to see that the pasta store still exists. The lasagna noodles and fettuccine we purchased were excellent.”

Over the weekend, we placed an order for a cold antipasto platter and a hummus plate, and I must say, they were absolutely perfect! The quality, presentation, and taste exceeded our expectations. “All you have to remember is: Chicken Cutlet Chili Cheese California on a Wedge. Music to my ears. I crave this sandwich. The chicken cutlet is thin and crispy, the chili is spicy, and the mayo lettuce and tomato cuts the spice.
