Stick to simpler dishes. Stay *away from the seafood. Mussels (in entree) were the kinds you find at a Chinese buffet, and the calamari was "stringy" and inedible. Breaded chicken was inedible, ceviche was fantastic. Just stay away from "seafood" and stick with the basics.
I have dined twice at Gladys and thoroughly enjoyed the Lomo Saltado, the Hungry Man Steak, and ceviche.Atmosphere was decent, clean.. nothing extraordinary. Service was fast.Prices were fair as well.My only issue comes with the waitress rounding change UP to skim some off the top. I work hard for my money and I'll tip based on the quality of the service. This place is go-to for comfort food. The tallarin and chicken soup are always a hit for the uninitiated palates. And if you want some Peruvian soul food, they've got breakfast on weekends and everything in between. Their hot sauce is homemade and absolutely perfect. You could drink it out of the bottle. Wash your meal down with a chicha morado. You'll be glad you did.
