“Recently i heard about Bittermans bbq ...I have to say i havent had smoked ribs chicken that good in a long time ! The portions were large and the meats were moist/tender and some of the best ribs i have had in years...The coldslaw was excellent and the mashed potatoes was spot on...The owner gave me a sample of the chili pulled pork on my potatoes...These fellows know about real barbeque ...The sauce /vinegar was the perfect sauce for the chicken ribs ...Im looking forward to making another visit and trying their cornbread as well!“

“I was craving collard greens - and looking for a new place to try. I found Village BBQ on line and was impressed with the reviews so off I went. Randy the owner is not only the nicest guy but a fantastic chef! He and his wife run the business. I had his brisket (at his insistence!) Delicious! Sweet potatoes and collard greens. Customer next to me raved about the banana pudfing so I added that too. All 5 star!!! Very happy I took the chance on a place in a gas station!!“

“I live in Wantagh and have been to Dang many, many times. The food is great, the service is fantaststic and I would rate you a 10 out of 10 but for one thing...the MUSIC is horrible! It is the same songs by the same artist every time we attend and it is about 50% too loud as well. I like country music and it is appropriate but please, get some decent country music that has some classics and recognizable artists. Today, we had a great lunch and our waitress, Kaitlin, was wonderful. But we skipped desert because we just could not take any more of the terrible music. I know others who share my opinion. “We've been coming here for the past three years. My favorite dish is the honey lemon pepper wings with the truffle fries. Oscar makes the best wings! Hot, crispy and well-seasoned. We've tried just about all of the menu items to include the mac and cheese, yams, collard greens, brisket, burgers, Sweet Tai chili wings, ribs and the chicken and shrimp combo. My favorite is the honey lemon pepper wings with a Blue Mai Tai. Their hours during the winter are iffy, but when they are there, it's always a good time. Music is great and the sound is crisp, never too loud. Staff is friendly and the owner always comes out to chat with us. Prices are on par with the rest of the restaurants on the Mile.“

The lobster bisque was a tad salty—a common pitfall, unfortunately—and while the quality of the steak was merely average, the chef certainly did their best with the ingredients at hand. The service, however, was excellent; in fact, it was our server who recommended the stuffed peppers. The peppers themselves had been cooked down, so they weren't particularly spicy; instead, they were filled with a flavorful mixture—possibly basil and orange zest—combined with slow-cooked diced beef and cheese. The mild heat perfectly complemented the aromatic cheese and juicy beef, making for a truly superb dish.“
