Adam and Liz are phenomenal to work with, offering the opportunity to work with you to create a menu and event that fits your style. We had a backyard wedding with 150+ people that required an endless-cocktail style reception and the use of unique spaces for our bars. Adam adapted to all of it and we would not have had the event we had without the teamwork between him, his colleague Liz, and Rita from Rita Ellis Events. Most importantly, Adam and Liz worked with their chef to help recreate Chilean empanadas that are so important to my husband’s side of the family. Those empanadas were AMAZING and were the main hit amongst all of our guests. If you want excellent food and need excellent logistical support for a complex event, look no further than By Hand.“

“We worked with Grace and Grit to plan a private dinner for our small wedding party. The food was amazing, and the Chef's were both great to work with. We had passed hors d'oeuvres (mini lobster rolls, tuna tartare, duck lettuce wraps were truly stand out dishes). The sit down dinner felt extremely professional and was so tasty. We were able to do a nice family style meal with a very upscale feel to it. We would highly recommend for an elopement.
In addition to the stellar Chef team, working with Erica for the planning process was great. She was responsive and able to answer whatever questions we had. She really seems like she loves this type of work, and it comes through in speaking with her.

“From our first interaction Matt Kar was professional and caring. He answered any of our questions or concerns in a timely manner. The majority of tasks and requests we had were expertly handled by him and his staff. The catering manager, Christine, was extremely detail oriented and made sure we were comfortable and happy with everything at the wedding. She went above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly with minimal input needed from us the day of. The onsite staff, especially Jaclyn and Trisha, were incredible, frequently checking in with myself and my husband to ensure we had anything we might need. For guests with allergies, all the staff were vigilant and would make sure there were items to offer them that they could enjoy. We used the French Style service, many of our guests are still raving about the variety and how delicious everything was. We used Christopher Michael for all of the rentals as well. They did a beautiful job with the entire event.“
“East End Clambake catered my daughter’s and my mother’s joint birthday party in my backyard in July. I cannot describe how amazing and wonderful they were every step of the way. We ended up renting chairs and tables as well as went with the The East End Lobster Bake package, with fried chicken (the only catered who offered this as an addition to lobster!) Patricia coordinated everything and really made it so very easy. I can’t remember the two women who came to the event along with the chef but they really out themselves, our 60 guests were truly delighted and the food was incredible. No one left hungry, that is for sure!!!! They really know how to run a smooth operation and all of the staff were so lovely to work with. They are absolutely the best!!!!“

“East End catered our wedding in Riverhead and they were the absolute best! Joanne and Chris were so lovely to work with and they were the reason our wedding was perfect and ran as smoothly as it did. They were a preferred vendor for RGNY and it was a no brainer to book with them. We were nervous about having to bring in an outside catering team but working with East End was so seamless and ended up being the best thing for our wedding day! They did it all — food, bar, staffing, setup, breakdown & provided all dishes/glasses/cutlery which allowed us to keep our wedding in budget. The most important part — the food was absolutely delicious! They have a large list of food to choose from and are willing to work with you! From our first tasting, we knew we made the right choice. We chose their trilogy option for dinner which gave each guest chicken & steak on the plate with fish passed around which was so helpful for the timeline and gave guests more time to enjoy the party. All of our guests are still raving how perfect the filet mignon was and how it cut like butter.
We also wanted to give a special shoutout to Jane, our day of coordinator, and Danielle, our maître d'. We hired Jane through East End which was so helpful during planning since she already worked so closely with the team and she was so familiar with RGNY. They set up everything impeccably & efficiently and were on top of the timeline to ensure my husband and I had the best day. Jane is so hardworking and hilarious and we had so much fun with her! She is also so patient as I was definitely a crazy, detail-oriented bride and she made my dreams happen.
We have this team to thank for our perfect wedding day, great logistics & flow, and for the delicious food. We definitely recommend them for your big day/private event!“
