They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“

“Ardito's is staple of the community there in Mineola. Anyone who knows Rosa and Tony will agree with me that they are both amazing. The food is always on point and handed to you with a smile. “I was working locally and decided to grab lunch from Wheeler Deli after reading the reviews. The deli is smaller and quaint but has a large case of Boars Head meats, salads, and desserts. I ordered an American Hero, sides of macaroni salad, and potato salad, and a piece of the banana bread. They got right to making my order and the wait time was less than 5 minutes. My sandwich was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The salads were creamy and had great flavor. The banana bread was outstanding; dense and sweet and flavorful. The total for food and a drink was less than $25 which was a great value. I’ll be back.“

They put like 5 kinds of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil, vinegar, etc...all on a sesame seed hero. We got two drinks and they even threw in a couple cookies on the house! The people are very friendly, looks family owned, definitely keep it clean, and seem to have a big local following. It’s like a hippy and a Jewish deli owner got married and started a business and you are the beneficiary of sandwich and soup that achieves “excellent” status! If you eat here and don’t try the potato salad you have made a grave error and I am going to have to question your credibility on all things food or food adjacent. Make good choices and eat this potato salad. Eat it slowly. Shed a tear for yourself, because if this is the first time you are eating it….. you have sorely missed out on something special. You deserve it. I had the New York Deli Classic. Pastrami that has attained the level of mana. That’s all you and your kids, family and weird work friends need to know. If you do not try this sandwich, I will come to your home and let your pets go and dump your neighbors’ trash bins into your yard. You have been told. Do something about it. Eat here or else Fido will be loosed on the neighborhood.“

The food was all vegetarian [Eggplant, Egg salad, Tuna, Veggie wrap, Potato salad, Cole slaw] and no complaints from any of the guests, so all good.
Especially liked the eggplant wraps and potato salad.
Yes, will be returning here for more food at a later date.

I would say that all my orders have been over the phone for pick up. Because of COVID I wont open rh e sandwhich but all of my sandwiches I have asked for cheese but everytime I get home .....there is none. Its my faukt though I know netter to watch my food being prepared and making sure all the ingredients are there. AI havent really fully enjoyed the sandwich becuae its missing a key ingredient. It hapoened again today. Gbey write the order down perfect on the ticjetbut the sandwich doesnt have evefything on it . “The hot food here (Latin Food) is made fresh daily and it's pretty. You get a decent portion for 1 for $5. Breakfast sandwiches starting at $3 so you can't go wrong and the cold cut hero's are enormous to some really good brewed coffee. Not much on the negative to say except that it would be nice if they carried a larger variety of drink but from canned goods to cleaning supplies to house hold items and an ATM this deli has a lot to offer at good prices.“

“Around 1970 or so, there were two delis on Jericho Turnpike, Johnny’s and Werner’s. (honorable mention to Ardito’s, which is still there and apparently still owned by the Ardito’s). I noticed Werner’s was still there. Werner must be about 100 years old by now. When I checked it out I learned Werner’s isn’t really Werner’s anymore. I read a review that said the new owners would have made Werner proud. I have to agree. A little less emphasis on salads and catering, but great selection of specialty sandwiches, excellent fresh bread and rolls, and fair prices.“
