“I am always in the mood for a bagel, but am fearful of new bagel stores, because a lot of them do not offer what I call a bagel. This place does. A real old-time establishment, with seating, bathrooms, and really excellent bagels and coffee. At least a half dozen employees behind the counter, all of whom were very helpful and personable. Separate room with tables & chairs & two bathrooms. Food and coffee were really delicious. Huge free parking area right around the corner. I look forward to returning.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: You do have options.Parking: Hugh parking lot around the corner.Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible“
“Went sat nite with another couple and had wonderful experience . Wish other places would take notice how to provide services and good food ! Table ready at said time of reservation . Nice round table . Offered drink menus etc as we sat down . Waitress was exceptional . As we sat down we were presented with a basket full of fresh baked soft pretzels . Now they give these for free and more if we asked and now I have been to many similar type places that have the GIANT pretzel for 15$ . Really ? We get our own here complimentary . Ordered if I remember correctly two steak sandwiches , 1 chicken burrata , 1 vodka with meatballs and 2 tuna bowls . Steal sandwiches cooked perfectly medium rare as requested (not over cooked and tuff at other places) bread was soft and warm and cut in thirds ( how thoughtful ) . Chicken burrata was a hefty plate of food that my buddy didn't finish but was Deelish . The vodka pasta with meatballs was also excellent the sauce had great consistency not runny or watery and 4 large meatballs most and mouthwatering ! I sampled one bc my kid couldn't finish ! (My finicky nephew would have ) . The women ordered the tuna Bowls they said the tuna was cooked properly but the accompanying stuff that is supposed to make up the bowl was disappointing ( they would get sonething else next time ) Only glitch was we ordered a salad to share as appetizer and it never came and the waitress was truly apologetic . Not the end of world! We were stuffed for dessert but my kid was disappointed they removed the camp fire cook at table s'mores dessert ( she loved it in the past ) . That was made up for with the tremendous offering of pink cotton candy for table complimentary ! Who doesn't like a little cotton candy . So to recap free pretzels , great food offering , great service and free dessert and of course great company equals wonderful evening . Will be back sooner than later !“
“Decent NY style pizza with a number of varieties. Walked in on a Thursday evening and the pizzas looked fresh. I got a regular slice which was pretty standard, gets the job done. I do appreciate the thin and crispy crust though. There was no flop, which is great. The man working behind the counter was also nice.“
“Thanks to Tony and his lovely wife Carolyn for making our afternoon and eating experience top notch!! I promise next ti.e out I'm bringing you pastries Tony! The Knish burger besides being a genius idea was AMAZING!! I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the staff so friendly and personable!!“
“Food is excellent every time however the portion sizes are ridiculous. If you’re charging $17 for a bowl I expect more than half a spoon of rice. The workers behind the counter are almost always oblivious and are not usually friendly. It’s a shame since the food is so good and this can easily be a 5 star spot.“
“Of course I loved my March Special Philly with Mushrooms. Today, my mom arrived from India at JFK and I decided to introduce her to American Vegan food :) She said, "chaalaa baagundi ", which means very good, a high compliment! One of the greatest treats about visiting India is food (colors and live dance musicals are another); there's a ton of plant-based eats but the vegan food has some ways to go.“
“Pappa Gallo in Rockville Centre is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and professionalism. The food? Absolutely delectable – each dish bursting with flavor and freshness. But what truly sets this place apart is their extensive drink menu and the phenomenal bartender who crafts each cocktail with precision and flair. The service? Impeccable. They've nailed consistency to a tee, making each visit just as delightful as the last. Without a doubt, Pappa Gallo is a must-visit spot in Rockville Centre for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience.“
“My family loves Chimichurri! The quality of the food is excellent and the value is terrific. This would be true if it wasn't kosher but we keep kosher and getting this quality and value with kosher is phenomenal! Our favorites are the steak, fried and grilled wings!Dietary restrictions: Kosher“
“No matter where you live on Long Island, Siam Emerald is worth the trip !! This restaurant is beautifully decorated- from the greenery on the ceilings to the gorgeous bathrooms. Siam Emerald definitely knows the importance of great service : The wait staff was amazingly attentive! The cuisine was truly outstanding. Every appetizer, entree and dessert that we ordered didn't disappoint. Absolutely everything we tried was sooo delicious AAND...we were wowed with the unique and creative presentation of every dish. This place was packed but not too loud. It was just a completely enjoyable evening! Needless to say , we highly recommend!!!!! Thanks Siam Emerald ! We had a great time and we'll be back soon!“
“Me and a friend went to get food at the truck at the south gate mail.. the wait for the food was long unfortunately but the burgers were really good. I'd definitely go back, but I'd probably go to the store front, or I'd call and place an order.“
“Rose our server made our dining experience fantastic. She is very attentive and kind. Thanks for making sure that guests that enter your restaurant receive excellent service. Kudos to your management ?Dietary restrictions: Low sodium and vegan options will be great.“
“Came here just for the pho and everyone was very nice. I was not disappointed. The pho broth could’ve had just a taddd bit more flavor but overall very yummy! The steak (got pho sizzle) was sooo delicious and tender. I also like how they have a rewards program!“
“I went to Monroe’s for brunch with a group of 11 people to celebrate a birthday. David and Frank were our servers and they took amazing care of us. Our whole group did the bottomless brunch option and our glasses were never empty because they were quick to refill them. They also continuously checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted. The food was great! I had the sliced steak sandwich, it was delicious. The french fries and home fries were exceptional and perfectly seasoned. Everyone was happy with the food they ordered. I highly recommend visiting Monroe’s. We will definitely be back!“
“The food was incredible; it's feels like these days the restaurants in our area aren't trying that hard and make you feel like you should just accept the garbage food they serve you but not Copperhill; every dish was delicious and beautiful. The service was also great and overall it was an awesome experience. We can't wait to come back and try the brunch menu. The restaurant and bar area is also beautiful.“
“Love this little cafe and the food is just an added bonus. I love their seasonal coffee drinks. The seasoned potatoes are a MUST. I typically go for their breakfast items but friends and family love their lunch options as well.Parking: The parking lot for the plaza this place is in, gets full pretty quickly. It is also a narrow, tight squeeze.“
“We had the espresso martini (no Baileys) We had the bacon wrapped shrimp special appetizer , so good definitely for 1 person. We had the eggplant rigatoni regatti and linguine white clam sauce with shrimp and pancetta both delicious! Cannoli we shared for dessert, yummy !“
“Every single thing we ordered was amazing. The baba ghannouj was my favorite dip. The Safina is a must try. The falafel was by far one of the best I have ever had and the mixed grill platter was the best way to try all the proteins and they were all outstanding. I will definitely be back! Excellent flavors.“
“This is the best pizza in the Seaford Wantagh area, which is saying something. I 've worked through the menu in pizza and pasta items, and it is definitely thin crust NYC rooted, but also is just full of flavor. The round grandma is a gimmick, but is still delicious. The spinach and white pizza is the best I ever had. The baked ziti is cheesed top to bottom, not just one drop of ricotta like most places. Found these guys just this year, and now they're my go to. Thanks for opening nearby, and for the WLIR vibe w the music choices.“
“Wild feast was originally in LB and moved to RVC in 2019. I went there today with my husband for the first time in RVC and it was incredible!!! Everything was absolutely delicious. Ifs very quaint inside and the owner is so kind! Definitely a wonderful place for lunch or dinner! And their lattes are to die for! 10/10 “
“Some of the best speciality squares in the area. Their regular pies are great to, a slightly thinner crust than the traditional NY slice. Service counter is always on top of their game cause the place can get packed, so staff is always working hard to get you your order done. Only a handful of high tops inside to eat your slice at but the business is set up perfectly to go in and grab your order on the go, but in the nicer weather they do a great job setting up picnic tables.outside to enjoy great pizza and the warm weather. Very clean as well.“
“The pina colada smoothy was great, did not care for the jerk chicken asian crunch salad that much. Also tried the shrimp burger, that was good. Enjoyed the music while waiting and food prices were not bad.Parking: Depends on the day, otherwise it should be fine.“
“We love this place, it's the only pizzaria in rvc we'll eat at/from! Even though I believe the owner, John is it? Is a Rangers fan he doesn't hold my being a die hard Islanders fan against me! ? Staff is friendly making for a more comfortable atmosphere! My food suggestion/s would be, try it all! Thank you for the service, sys! And remember, the change...has ? hahahaha ?“
“This place is EXCELLENT. I don't even know what to say other than come check it out yourself. I just finished having a mixed platter over rice and it was easily the best I've had in recent memory. Very polite staff inside who are grateful for their customers. I will absolutely be back.“
“I've been to many ramen shops in Nassau County, this is the largest, most authentic menu by far.I am a big fan of japanese curry and it is hard to come by, and Im an even bigger fan of Curry Udon. The udon is delicious, the Curry is rich and savory, and they are very generous with thr Curry sauce. The tonkatsu ramen is excellent, and you can tell the difference between in house made broth and other places that buy their broth. And the chef spicy sauce is an excellent side for your ramen to spice it up while enjoying your meal.I cant recommend this place enough.Kid-friendliness: Kids love ramen!“
“Roman style pizza sounded interesting, so we stopped in and tried some. Very glad we did because it was amazing. We ended up with 4 slices. 2 Roman style, 2 traditional. The Roman style were sausage with broccoli rabe and spinach with artichoke. The traditional were a burrata and vodka pepperoni basil and pesto slice. I can't tell you which was the best because they were all amazing. It was nice to get some slices with fresh greens on them that actually tasted good.I wish I had taken a picture of all the pizza because the variety of slices they had was crazy. Maybe next time I'll get the truffel slice.Parking: Parking in the area.“
“All workers were amazing,Made sure we had excellent service and food was so fulfilling and delicious!Cook was an old friend who delivered excellent service and a woman was lovely when delivering the food to the tables!Parking: Lots of parking space, and all close to the entrance.“
“This was my first time at this pizza shop. I was in the neighborhood and wanted something to eat. I was heading to one pizza shop on the main road & I happened to see this one in the cut. Something told me to go there instead & I'm happy that I did. Very welcoming as I walked in through the door. I would definitely revisit when I'm in the neighborhood again.“
“I had the Duck Pad See Ew now these noodles remind me of drunken noodle so if you like that then you will love this dish! The duck was succulent and crispy on the outside cooked to perfection wow! The food was tasty but not salty and greasy like other Thai places I have tried recently. The chef is top notch and knows what she is doing for real just the right balance of flavor and taste in every single bite. Next up I had the appetizer the main event the "Zaab" Spicy Chicken Wings. I've never had chicken wings with this particular flavor or seasoning before so this was new territory for me. No need to worry though as you're in good hands like All State with this chef she is no joke and has clearly put in her 10,000 hours and then some respectfully. It was a dry rub fried chicken wing with spicy chili flakes or chili powder rubbed underneath and/or on top of the wing itself which was fried and coated to perfection I was impressed thoroughly to say the least. This was the sleeper and highlight our orders. We also ordered last but not least the chicken pad Thai which was flavorful and the ingredients were super fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place can't say it enough five stars is a minimum! By the way and oh yes please try the Thai Iced Tea and Coconut Water for good measure to wash down your meal. Run don't walk to try out this new gem in the neighborhood and tell them Blanco sent you lol! Tell a friend to tell a friend it's them again yummy!“
“This place truly changed me for the better. Taking a bite of that lamb over rice was like taking a walk though the Garden of Eden and just taking a deep breath and realizing, this place is the greatest most exquisite food you’ll ever get to taste. I would recommend that anyone comes here to take a bite of the most delicious platters you’ll ever eat. Truly a life changing experience.Parking: Always going to be a spot open for you to have an opportunity to truly taste greatness.“
“The fine dining experience was VERY good. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. My husband’s food was delicious (beet salad and salmon entree). I ordered the lobster bisque which was delicious. I ordered the doc fish entree which was recommended by our server. Unfortunately, the fish had no taste and the sauce made me nauseous. The kale was not edible at all. It was too chewy. Overall, spending time with my husband, in a very nice venue with a very nice vibe, made the experience well worth it.Parking: There’s ample parking, for free, if you don’t want to pay for valet parking.“
“The Tipsy Barrel is a cozy neighborhood bar located in the heart of downtown. The dark wood décor and soft lighting create a warm, welcoming ambiance. The bar features an extensive selection of craft beers on tap, with a rotating selection that highlights local breweries. They also offer a curated list of wines and signature cocktails.“
“This is an amazing place to eat lunch or dinner! Everyone is very kind and respectful. They have great service and everyone is always smiling! I come here all the time with family and friends and they all love it! I highly recommend everyone to come here! Absolutely amazing?“
“This was my first time, I just so happened to be sitting in my car across the street. I decided to try it. I had tomato bisque and a byo bowl. The soup was the absolute best. I'm serious. I should have bought more. The bowl was so good. I ate every drop of everything. I also got the strawberry basil lemonade. I'd never had this combination before, but it was so good. Not too sweet, not too sour. Just right in the middle. It was refreshing. I will definitely be back again. My bowl had chicken. No fat on the grilled chicken. I hate the fat and gristle. It was perfect. Not dry. And the sauce, it was a perfect addition.“
“Came here with my husband and ordered a variety of rolls. All were great. In our opinion it’s the best sushi in the area Mineola/Garden City/New Hyde Park area but is a little pricey, especially considering the vibe and feel of the restaurant.“
“Pizzeria G is a local gem that knows how to serve up some seriously delicious pies. The Portnoy slice is a must-try—it's loaded with freshly grated mozzarella cheese and Sicilian olive oil, all on a perfectly crispy crust. And if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, their Buffalo Chicken slice is a flavor explosion, with tender chicken, spicy buffalo sauce, and cool ranch drizzle.Every pie is made with care and attention to detail. The dough is always fresh and hand-tossed, and the toppings are very high quality. Plus, the atmosphere at Pizzeria G is laid-back and inviting, making it the perfect spot to grab a slice with friends or enjoy a quick lunch during the weekday. The friendly staff and owners always help to meet your needs and show you their favorite slices if you have a hard time choosing from all their options. You simply can't go wrong with a visit to Pizzeria G!“
“Our goto place when we’re hungry and nothing comes to mind. Where the food is excellent, and there are plenty of delicious choices of pizza and pasta’s, the prices are good, but the employees are all friendly and go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is top shelf. Thanks to allParking: Plenty of parking either in the front or back“
“Went for dinner with friends and the food was delicious. I had the stuffed salmon and my friends had the cacio de pepe and chicken oregenata. The spicy margarita was excellent as well. Sat at the bar for a glass of wine after dinner and the atmosphere was enjoyable. It's a small place and we were there on a weekday so I don't know how busy it gets on the weekends but I'd go back!“
“Nice Italian neighborhood restaurant with a family dining appeal. Large dining area with wait service. Menu had plenty of options - but we were focused on the pizzas. Table bread and butter worked up an appetite, but lacked the fresh baked aroma. Calamari and chicken Francese pizzas were pretty awesome and very different. A little tough to eat the slices with the heavy and saucy toppings, but a fork and knife worked like a charm. Happy to return for another round.“
“I've passed this restaurant several times and decided to try them out today. There is paid parking in the lot. The place is compact, they have old license plates from different states on the walls, it's a lil rustic. The menu has burgers and chicken named for all the states from Maine to California. The service was fast and they only accept CASH, no credit/debit cards. I will definitely return to try the different burgers.“
“We called on short notice and Greg was able to put together a delicious assortment for a lunch catering. The food was fresh and the Penne ala Vodka sauce is incredible! We will continue to use Garden City Pizza and Catering for our lunch needs.Appreciate the prompt service! The staff really enjoyed it!Thank you!“
“This is our “go to “ place for years! Wonderful atmosphere and great food!We recently hosted a party for 50 people and could not have been more pleased with the service and food. The upstairs party room is beautiful and well suited for private events.“
“Love the lattes! If you’re in a rush this place isn’t for you. I try to place my order in advance to avoid the wait but they make it and keep it behind the counter so I still have to wait for the employees to finish helping other customers, to get it.“
“My 4 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac. She loves her pizza so we tried a bunch of places to find a gluten free pizza she would like. She had regular Calda pizza before the diagnosis, so it was no surprise the only gluten free pizza she loved was from Calda. We pick some up to bring to her daycare for pizza fridays just about every week! Unless we have leftovers from earlier in the week! She loves it reheated in the oven just as when we get it fresh! Thanks everyone at Calda for unknowingly making a great gluten free pizza our daughter loves!!“
“Very clean. Very nice people. Omg the food is delicious!! Regular pizza, margarita pizza, chicken parm roll, ala vodka grandma pizza, regular grandma. I've had them all and I recommend to everyone. You gotta try this place. Very yummy.“
“Solid sandwiches! I was so sad when Village Heros closed down and began my search yet again for that Soul-satisfying sandwich... Roast is in the running! Got the Cubano and the Country Fried Chicken sandwiches - so tasty!! Also enjoyed the house made fries - ordered two for two people but one order would have sufficed. Great portions! The only downside (very slight) would be the Mac and Cheese - not bad but not great. It was the only hiccup during the whole meal. Service was quite friendly and efficient; the seating area was clean and comfortable. Parking is easy and, if you have room for dessert, Ralph's is just a couple of steps away (during the warmer days).“
“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“
“This is SUSHI!! Legit sushi on the island. We came here to celebrate valentine's day and this place did not disappoint. Honestly, only one of the few places on the island that has all the unique high end fishes e.g. Uni, Wagyu. They even have omakase which is impressive. We enjoyed their chef special rolls, BBQ Squid and Cracked Uni Roll. Highly recommend those.“
“Food is good. Not every dish is my favorite, so what ever I order was tasty. :) I love their red clams chowder soup! It's delicious! I prefer to go there only summer time since you can seat outside and enjoy bay view! Service is good also. Had a few cocktails which were tasty also. I will stop by for sure again“
“This is a hidden gem in East Rockaway! The food is delicious. We ordered Kung Po Chicken and Gyoza. The chicken came with rice, wonton soup (so good!) and crackers. The gyoza was awesome. We’d definitely come back and use this place as our go-to restaurant for Asian food in the area.“
“Came in on a Friday night, was seated super quickly. Server Matt B was extremely helpful! He told us all of the specials and helped us figure out what to order. He was very attentive and made for a great experience! Will definitely be returning.“
