“Thank God there are still places like this on Long Island. Old school Italian deli. I stopped by because I was in the area and read the reviews. Ordered an Italian hero with hot cherry peppers. Just delicious. Ate half brought my wife the rest. Ofcourse I can't wait for the hero to be made and not grab a Manhattan special vanilla creme soda.... and a fresh Mozz.... and a loaf of Italian bread.. lol. Thank you Ardito family and all your employees for caring enough to keep making it right. God bless.“

“Around 1970 or so, there were two delis on Jericho Turnpike, Johnny’s and Werner’s. (honorable mention to Ardito’s, which is still there and apparently still owned by the Ardito’s). I noticed Werner’s was still there. Werner must be about 100 years old by now. When I checked it out I learned Werner’s isn’t really Werner’s anymore. I read a review that said the new owners would have made Werner proud. I have to agree. A little less emphasis on salads and catering, but great selection of specialty sandwiches, excellent fresh bread and rolls, and fair prices.“

“Since I am not in love with cooking, and I enjoy my Spanish food, my hubby and I come here often. They is always a big selection, food is freshly cooked. Love the service, everyone is always so upbeat and friendly. prices are very moderate. This is mostly a take out establishment though. Hopfully they will be around for a long while.“

“I was working locally and decided to grab lunch from Wheeler Deli after reading the reviews. The deli is smaller and quaint but has a large case of Boars Head meats, salads, and desserts. I ordered an American Hero, sides of macaroni salad, and potato salad, and a piece of the banana bread. They got right to making my order and the wait time was less than 5 minutes. My sandwich was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The salads were creamy and had great flavor. The banana bread was outstanding; dense and sweet and flavorful. The total for food and a drink was less than $25 which was a great value. I’ll be back.“

“Whenever I'm in Merrick, which is usually two or three times a month, I always stop at Bagelman of Merrick. They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“

“Deli Boy makes great sandwiches. Very fresh and tasty ingredients. I only recently moved to the area so I have been to a few delis in the freeport Baldwin area. I would say that all my orders have been over the phone for pick up. Because of COVID I wont open rh e sandwhich but all of my sandwiches I have asked for cheese but everytime I get home .....there is none. Its my faukt though I know netter to watch my food being prepared and making sure all the ingredients are there. AI havent really fully enjoyed the sandwich becuae its missing a key ingredient. It hapoened again today. Gbey write the order down perfect on the ticjetbut the sandwich doesnt have evefything on it . Breakfast sandwiches starting at $3 so you can't go wrong and the cold cut hero's are enormous to some really good brewed coffee. Not much on the negative to say except that it would be nice if they carried a larger variety of drink but from canned goods to cleaning supplies to house hold items and an ATM this deli has a lot to offer at good prices.“

I was accidentally given French fries instead of the French toast. This is not that big of a deal but the man at the counter argued with me that I ordered French fries, instead of offering to fix the $40 order. It was 8:50am and I already had ordered hash browns with my breakfast; I wouldn’t have ordered French fries with that.“

“I came here with my family who is visiting from another country. The woman behind the counter was so kind and hospitable and attentive to us made us feel right at home. She made this experience absolutely magical. This is another level, nothing I expected, but everything I needed.
