“Quality service, delicious variety of tacos. Authentic tortillas were a plus. Forgot to ask if they were made in house. We tried buffalo cauliflower, barbacoa, pastor, carnitas, carne asada (truffle sauce was delicious), tuna (wasn't crazy they were served in lettuce, no thanks, I'm here for tacos!), and shrimp. Great option to get 8 for $50 to try a variety. A little pricey to not even include some beans or rice but yummy. Desserts were tasty having churros and flan. We really wanted to try the spicy chocolate cake on the menu but we were told they discontinued it and they need to update their menu. Waiter was attentive. The staff was professional and kind. The water glasses stayed filled without having to ask. Decor was on point. So creative and attractive . Great logo design and the painted parking spots are so original! Music was great. Acoustics were really loud in the place and it was very hard to talk, had to shout at each other the whole time but if that loud busy vibe is what they're going for they nailed it. The owner treated our family very well and we appreciated it. Check them out. Can't wait to visit when the weather is nice and patio doors are open.“
“All the food here was so good. I was so full after honestly but I wanted to eat more honestly. And the ambiance of the place is sick with cool people and great service. The drinks were also great and super colorful. Such a great place to take photos with actual amazing food. Can't wait to make my next trip here“
“I call this outstanding restaurant every couple of days as I love the ambiance that is outline this restaurant. The team is exceptionally cordial and experienced. The service is absolutely efficient. Not to mention, the food they cook is perfect. I have been there often and I was never disappointed. The cost is modest. I highly recommend this restaurant to to everybody.“
“I am mixed about this location…they never label the take out so we don’t know which bowl for example belongs to which person even though we write the name when ordering. Today the food we received had undercooked rice…i am not picky when it comes to anything but they were really undercooked and i am surprised they put this stuff out there.“
“Shared 4 assorted tacos (fish, lengua, birria & carnitas) with my wife for snack, craved for more. I don’t usually get Lengua (tongue) because of funky after taste from previous experience. At Mala Madre, lengua was so tender, butter and beefy. Will definitely come back for more.“
“I do eat here twice a week at least near by my job I love them chicken roasted with fries salad and rice for less then 14$ them prices fair specially happy hour drink 8$ that super good for upscale restaurantCustomer service is so great and professional I love the lights and the setting I’m loyal there lol“
“Absolutely amazing! My daughter and I had an appointment in the area today, and being not from the area I asked for recommendations on the Long Island Foodies page. You did not disappoint!! We ordered four tacos (the crispy chicken was my favorite,) corn, jalapeño poppers and drinks. Every single item was amazing! Then the staff - we are outside and from the first staff member we met to the last the service was top notch! Extra thanks to the gentleman who made sure to bring me out some Fat Boy Sauce, because I mentioned it was our first time he said “you have to have it.” He was right. We did! And Sal. Every restaurant should have someone as welcoming and lovely as Sal. He made us feel like regulars on our first time. My daughter has already asked to take the hour trip back again next week, and I’m thinking about it.“
“I was here last night around 8:30pm for the first time and my experience was 10 out of 10. I had the guava coconut margarita on the rocks and it was what I needed after working a 12 hour shift. I'll definitely be returning not because of the great food but because of how kind and pleasant the staff was!!!!!“
“It’s a owner operator business, Manuel, is a star! Went in for lunch with my good friend he was Very attentive. We had the shrimp quesadilla and chicken crunch wrap! Three different mild sauces and three different hot sauces . Their homemade hot sauce was excellent! Chorizos was spectacular! Nobody’s gonna run it the way you want it! Thank you Manuel!Parking: I had no problem parking in front of the business.“
“Went there for the first time yesterday for my lunch. SO GOOD! The Mongolian beef tacos are UHHMAZINGGG. Loved the carne taco. The Thai chicken taco was okay but it just wasn’t my favorite. Their pineapple salsa is SLAMMINNNN. I also got a chicken taco that was good too. I will definitely be going back soon :)))“
