“I recently stopped into Nicky’s Pizza & Deli in Montebello, NY, and wow—what a memorable visit from start to finish. The moment I walked in, the guys behind the counter greeted me like an old friend, practically welcoming me in with open arms.

I ordered their Parmesan pie and a BBQ chicken slice, while my friend went for a piping-hot Sicilian and a chicken-bacon slice. Every bite was fantastic—hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The Parmesan pie had that perfect cheesy crisp, the BBQ chicken slice was savory and satisfying, the Sicilian arrived steaming and soft, and the chicken bacon slice was a hearty, flavorful one-two punch.

What truly stood out was their service—they made me feel like family, not just a customer. And props where they’re due: even the bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which is huge for a casual spot like this.

If you’re looking for great pizza in Montebello with fast, friendly service and a feel-good atmosphere, this place nails it. You really can’t ask for more. Highly recommended!“

They drove my order to Sloatsburg and included several delicious extras! Their catering always makes our events delicious, but yesterday they made it extra delicious. Dom’s has amazing food and even better service.“

“From the moment we walked in, the host greeted us like old friends and walked us right to our table — I instantly had a good feeling, and I was right. Our server was awesome — super friendly, knew the menu inside out, and was on top of everything all night.

The menu is classic Italian but with a twist — way more interesting than your standard North Jersey Italian spot. The ossobuco was fantastic (if I had to nitpick, I’d say the risotto could’ve used a touch less water and a heavier hand with the parm). The clams were fresh and baked to perfection, and my son devoured his ravioli. For dessert, the bread pudding was absolutely unreal — honestly worth the trip alone.

“Every time we go to Lavagna, the owner and his staff are always gracious and accommodating. This past weekend, my family and I were looking for a place to go after my Mom's wake. It was after 8:00 pm and we thought we would try Lavagna, knowing that they may not be able to accommodate the 12 of us as is was late and Friday's are usually very busy. We asked and they went out of their way to seat us as close as possible and served us with a smile even with two picky kids in tow. The food was delicious, as always. “Ordered takeout tonight. For takeout, I was very impressed. For how the food was though, it was fine. I ordered the snapper bellavista. The spinach that came with it was so bland. I get it is spinach but it should at least have salt and some oil or garlic. I got a side of potatoes for 7.95$. I couldn't believe the portion that it came with. There were 5 mini potatoes - I could not believe it. Such a ripoff and so ridiculous. The potatoes were undercooked for the most part and just tasted like salt and old oil. The snapper itself was really good and the sauce that it was topped with was delicious. I would definetley get it again. I have been to Andrea's numerous times over the years and I was definetley disappointed with this experience but I will keep coming back because the food is usually consistently good.“

Service was a little uneven, but that was most likely due to the fact that there was a really large party in the dining room and they tend to be high maintenance. Worth the trip.“
