My girlfriend and I spend a lot of time in the Upper Delaware area and have had Gerard's Cafe in our radar for quite some time. Eating breakfast at local places is a big part of our travels. Just had to be in the area on the right day and at the right time of day to finally go to Gerard's. Finally went yesterday (7/21). Our server was Douglass super nice. Ever since the Whistle Stop of quite a few years ago, no one has been able to make a go of it here. Hopefully Gerard’s will be around for awhile. Just good old traditional fare. French toast was very good!
I have eaten here many times since it’s opening and have been impressed with the quality of every dish. The chicken pesto sandwich, eggs Benedict, and French toast are among my favorites. Service has always been welcoming, and attentive.
