“The team here is hard-working and well-meaning. They can be overwhelmed sometimes, so you have to be mindful sometimes when you order during a rush hour. One time their system was down and they were running an hour behind, and I asked them to cancel my order. The manager called me later personally to apologize and offered to remake the pizza.

It's inexpensive fast-food pizza and there's a lot of options in NY, so sometimes people are expecting a lot considering the price they are paying. They aren't perfect here and when there is an inconvenience, it is really annoying, but having talked to some of the employees here, they work hard and try their best. No complaints about the quality of the pizza for the price I pay.“

Food: 🍽 I'ma start with the first meal that I ever got from here. The Jerk chicken platter with salad over rice. It's was delicious and amazing with the right amount of spicyness. The rice and salad was delicious. It was even more amazing with their go to special sauce combinations of Caribbean Gold Sauce and Garlic Cilantro sauce. All of my orders get those 2 combo of sauces. Which goes amazing on everything specially their Fries and Tenders. The Jerk Chicken Tacos are also amazing. My favorite order now is the Fried Shrimp Platter with French Fries covered in Caribbean Gold Sauce and the Garlic Cilantro. There is also some amazing doughnuts options to choose from now but I have not tried them yet. They look amazing! I will definitely try those next time.

Price: 💲the Jerk Chicken platter is $11.99 and the Jerk Chicken Tacos are $6.99 for 3. The Shrimp platter with fries is $13. Most of their meals are around the $11 to $15 range.

Customer Service: 🧑‍💼 The staff is very friendly and will help you choose from the menu if it's your first time and you don't know what to get. I have been coming here for a while now so I have tried almost everything on the menu. So keep in mind it will take a few visits to try everything.

“Had a really nice time at Tavern 157! The wagyu burger was juicy and full of flavor, and the oysters were really fresh. Loved the drinks and the cozy atmosphere too. Big shoutout to Nicky for taking such good care of us! Super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without having to ask. “Mr. Dak is definitely a spot worth visiting if you're craving delicious Korean food. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The avocado chicken cucumber salad was light, refreshing, and a perfect starter. The wings were crispy, juicy, and came with amazing flavor options. The chicken with rice was incredibly satisfying with generous portions, and the ramen was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor.
The drinks complemented the meal perfectly, and the overall quality of the food was excellent. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit.

Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. “Honestly, this place is so slept on... Krave It has the best pizza in Bayside— by a LANDSLIDE. I love that they use unbromated flour and I appreciate that every piece (even the specialty slices with many heavy toppings) has great structure, no flop. Thin & crispy crust, great ratio of sauce and cheese. I also love how clean the restaurant is. They have some incredible specialty slices that I never knew I needed in my life until I tried them! Especially the “Desi Boy” slice and the “white truffle chicken cutlet” slice. I also have to mention their vodka slice with sesame crust 🤤 Everything in this place is high quality, even their regular slices. Their sandwiches are pretty incredible too, and you can tell that the bread is fresh made in house— you don’t feel bloated or overly stuffed after eating them! The owner is super friendly and even gave us a couple extra slices to try to complete our “pie” when we had already ordered a small variety of slices. The staff are all very friendly and it feels very comfortable and less stuffy than some of the other pizzerias in the area. Happy to give this place my business. “We ordered assorted gyros, souvlaki, tacos and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. Over all decent and accommodating to the greek culture with a twist of spanish. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

“I have been going to this spot for over 25 years and until tonight n once before have not had a rude server. The young man working the window tonight 5/04/26 needs to be put in the back. He wanted to take my card as I placed my order n when I said how much is it he started adding in his head n when I said go pack n ring the order first he slammed the window. Then instead of telling me they had no wings or verifying my order he just packed it n showed me what he was gonna give me. Never spoke to me to say what he was doing. When he came for the card he still never said how much it was he just slammed the window again. “Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

“El Rincón Dominicano is a restaurant in Hempstead known for its delicious Dominican and Spanish food. We ordered the chicharrón which was moist and crisp. Just the way it should be cooked. I had the grilled stead. It was very flavorful and tender. My niece had the skirt steak which was out of this world. The steak melted in your mouth. My sister-ion-law had the pernil which is her favorite. The food is cooked to perfection, and we left with plenty for another meal. The staff is helpful, friendly, and attentive, providing great customer service. Parking is a bit of an issue, but we were lucky in getting a spot in the lot. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are offered. El Rincón Dominicano is well-loved by my family. While we live in NJ, we will visit again.“

Unfortunately branching from our usual wasn't the best with the table side chicken parm instead of the garlic knots, not a lot of pasta and for the price point it felt like we were paying for a cheese pouring presentation. Love the food and people at the location but the chicken parm is all show and no volume.“
