Garvan's Gastropub Reviews
Visited Garvan’s today for the first time for a late lunch in the Pub. We started with Mexican Street Carrots. So delicious! My husband had the traditional Irish breakfast and I had the lamb stew. Both meals were excellent. Wish we could have had dessert, but we were so stuffed. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We’re looking forward to visiting again.
Our family just visited for a duo purpose birthday / St . Patrick’s day celebration . Our experience was top notch . Welcoming , warm comfortable , beautiful setting , all of our food was so good . Everyone must try the chili roasted carrots appetizer. We Loved EVERYTHING about Garvans ! We will be back .
Excellent food. Exceptional customer service. A great vibe all around. The owner actually cares about his customers and their experiences. My hubby took me here for my birthday and we had the best pint of Guinness outside of Ireland (which I can vouche for as we were in Ireland a month prior and even visited the Guinness Storehouse). Garvan's Gastropub is a charming gem tucked away in the Hudson River Valley. The historic building, built in 1759, exudes a warm and welcoming colonial atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff are friendly and attentive, creating a friendly environment for all guests. The menu offers a variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices, with some dishes like chili roasted carrots and lamb stew receiving high praise. The food is delicious, with standout desserts like banoffee and Guinness chocolate cake. The building itself is very charming, with the first floor reflecting the Hugenots and the second floor more colonial. There is a busy pub on the first floor, but many guests prefer the quieter rooms upstairs. The outdoor patio provides a lovely setting for dining, and the ambiance is upscale Irish with a broader range of food than just Irish dishes. The owner and staff are often present, making visitors feel welcome. With easy parking and a beautiful setting, Garvan's is a great spot for celebrations or casual dining, offering a cozy experience with good food and a great vibe.
