Best cortado on the UES.
I’ve becovery cynical about coffee shops in NYC that are owned by hedge funds or big corporations. However , the moment I walked into Birch Coffee, I felt surprisingly comfortable. The server was friendly, actually happy and I was surprised when looking at the menu of the coffee drinks, that there was no additional charges for almond or soy milk. And there were books!
