We indicated that it was my birthday which was completely ignored! We asked for a table near a window but our table near the bar really wasn't bad. The noise level was exceptionally high especially from the inebriated ladies next to us. The service was slow but adequate. We've eaten at Dutch Fred's many times and will go back. We always enjoy the food with reasonable prices for food and drink. I guess everyone is entitled to an “off” night.
Always try to stop here for at least a cocktail or food when visiting NYC for Broadway and a show. Did brunch this time and didn't disappoint. The mescal dill jalapeno cocktail and the breakfast burger were to die for. We'll be back next month.
The ambience and food were absolutely perfect. The decor and overall vibe is great and the menu is reasonably priced with something for everyone. We came with teens and they loved it. The service was the only thing that was lacking. Our waitress was fine. Not unfriendly, but didn't crack a smile either, which honestly wouldn't have mattered had she come back to check on us more than once the whole time. We probably would have ordered more drinks but never had the opportunity...
