Let me start with the food because it was that good. I had a three course meal which was worth every penny. The duck confit was so tender and well seasoned. It was like butter and fell right off the bone. It was an appetizer but was very filling. For an entree I had the lamb chops an opted for Brussels instead of asparagus. 54 below is located under the old Studio 54 and hosts cabaret shows most nights of the week. There's a steep staircase to get to it, but there is also elevator access through the building next door. Advance registration and coat checking are encouraged, as the space is not large. A combination of bar seats, booths, and small tables make up the seating. There was a small incident with my meal. Nothing crazy and we didn't want to complain but thought we should let them know because someone else may not have been as understanding as us. Well the management went above and beyond to fix the problem. My meal was comped and so were our drinks. They gave us free champagne and a dessert to share.
