Filé Gumbo Bar offers an authentic New Orleans dining experience with its excellent cuisine, good service, and craft cocktails. The menu features standout dishes like the Caesar salad with crunchy grilled romaine and perfect shrimp, as well as the delicious crawfish bread. Live jazz music creates a lively ambiance, making it an ideal spot for date nights or gatherings with friends. This wonderful Creole restaurant hits the spot in so many ways. Food, atmosphere, and service are incredible. Crayfish flatbread was good, chicken and beignets, a take on chicken and waffles, was excellent, gumbo was unmatched, and barbecue shrimp very good. Drinks are great too. The food was delicious, including the non-seafood options. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The music adds to the ambiance but it was still easy to talk. The gumbo is out of this world! Everything eaten was delicious, the pimento, the crawfish bread, the andouille po' boy. Both spirit free cocktails tried were also amazing. The chocolate praline cake might also be a new favorite dessert. Customers have also noted that the restaurant does not allow substitutions in the food. Overall, Filé Gumbo Bar offers a taste of New Orleans.
