“I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, but unfortunately the bacon was missing. The burger itself tasted good, and I enjoyed the flavor. However, if customers pay for specific items, the order should be complete. I didn’t mention it at the time, but I hope this feedback helps improve attention to detail in the future.“

I’d heard some chatter about Five Guys and was craving a burger, so I decided to check out this NYC staple near Bryant Park on 6th Avenue.
The guy at the counter could not have been nicer as he walked me through how Five Guys handles its biz-ness!
I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and a vanilla milkshake. While waiting, I noticed something refreshing: every single employee had a genuine smile on their face. Not the dead-eyed corporate zombie smile you see at most chains, but actual happiness. They were engaged, laughing with customers, working efficiently without looking miserable.
As my burger was being prepared, the gentleman at the register told the staff to throw in a heaping portion of fries—free of charge. Just because. That kind of gesture sticks with you.
First, the fries: absolutely delicious. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfectly salted. They just hit in all the right ways.
The burger was fantastic—two juicy patties cooked perfectly, bacon that was actually crispy (not limp and sad), cheese melted just right, and a bun that held everything together without falling apart mid-bite.
The milkshake was outstanding. Thick, creamy, actually tasted like real vanilla instead of whatever chemical concoction most places serve.
I plan on visiting often. It’s rare to find a chain that’s so well-run, understands what customer service is about, and actually seems to give a damn about the people walking through the door.

“Small location, burgers are consistently great, fries are always perfectly cooked and taste amazing. Five guys is good for an occasional treat, I like that they have calories listed next to the options it helps me make better choices on a treat meal.“
“This is one of the best five guys I’ve ever been to, and a lot of it comes down to the staff. The manager, Shiniqua, is so warm, helpful, and friendly. All the people behind the grills are really efficient and kind too!
I’ve been here a handful of times, and it’s always a solid experience. My burger is always the way I want it and it comes out quite quickly. I can’t imagine how many people come in and out everyday, and how many may be tourists, but I’ve always seen everyone be really patient. I’ve also seen the manager go above and beyond, using the Spanish she knows to communicate with a customer trying to order. She’s also walked my roommate and I through soda options you could make on the machines.
The customer service experience here is really great front and back of house. They get all they need to get done and I’m sure it’s in part to strong leadership from Shiniqua.“
“The team at Five Guys on 48th Street is outstanding. The restaurant is consistently clean, the staff is friendly, and orders come out quickly even when it’s busy. You can really tell the team takes pride in their work and making customers feel welcome. This has easily become my go-to spot in the city for a great burger and fries. Always a solid experience.“

“I usually get a bacon cheeseburger and fries; can’t really go wrong with that. My only problem is that usually other locations give a good amount of extra fries in the bag, but not this one.
I usually go to this location often, and I see the same guy at the fry station. And no offense, but he pours so little fries into the bag that you’d swear each fry came out of his paycheck. Other than that, everything is usually delicious and fresh“

“Most of the staff was lovely and friendly but the small man in black was very rude after 15 minutes and me asking politely if my order was ready he mumbled something an stormed off ! Luckily the young man who served us came over and got are order
