About Franchia Vegan Café

Franchia Vegan Café is a vegetarian restaurant that offers a wide variety of options, including many vegan dishes. The restaurant is especially known for its "beef" and broccoli served with an amazing sauce, and its outstanding vegan carrot cake. The menu features clever alternatives for those trying vegan for the first time, such as a classic stone bowl and eggplant dish. Fake chicken and sushi options are also popular among customers. The interior is attractive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff shows genuine warmth and investment in providing a memorable tasting experience, even when the restaurant is busy. The wine selection, including plum wine, is also impressive. Many guests appreciate the ability to enjoy a fully vegan Korean menu, with some dishes resembling traditional Korean jeon, crispy chili tofu, and various banchan like pancakes and summer rolls. The restaurant’s knowledgeable staff are great with dietary restrictions, making it a favorite for those seeking delicious vegan options in an NYC setting that is often not very vegan-friendly.

Tasty food and great Service! The fried calamari was so yummy. Bibimbap and udon has rich flavors and it is the best vegan asian food I have so far this year.

Love this place. I usually get the katsu curry udon. They serve high quality, veganized pan-Asian food (Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc). There’s an almost homemade quality to the food: comforting, nourishing, and not-overseasoned. Their decor is understated, elegant, and cozy.

the name almost got me on the first day of my trip lol. it was super close to the airbnb i was staying at, and since i had just arrived in the morning, i thought “perfect, i’ll go there for breakfast!” thank god i didn’t, because this is actually an asian fusion vegan restaurant and definitely not a café serving breakfast at 8am hahah
we ended up going later and started with the crispy scallion pancakes, which were sooo good. i got the creamy kimchi udon with tofu...read full review
