Had Saturday morning brunch at Gemma. While the menu wasn’t extensive, it offered a number of different options that can appeal to different palates. The atmosphere and decor is unique and inviting. Service was friendly and prompt. While we weren’t staying at the adjacent Bowery Hotel, one may charge the bill to the hotel account if staying as a guest. The food was fantastic! This is just another Italian restaurant with a delightful menu, but with nothing new or inventive. It's all about the atmosphere. The restaurant is prettily appointed with Italian restaurant decor and has a large bar area abutting the dining room, promising a lively buzz at all times. I hosted a large group here and it was more than adequate for a fun evening.
We love eating at Gemma! Food was tasty. We ordered Kale salad and pizza (salad was nicely garnished) and pizza thin as we like. Atmosphere calm on a Sunday afternoon (just what we wanted).
