Grandma's Home (外婆家) serves authentic Shanghainese cuisine in a beautifully decorated ambiance. The menu features a range of traditional dishes, including Hong Shao Rou, crispy chicken, soy glazed crispy fish, and steamed fish, all made with fresh ingredients and presented with care. Standout dishes include the crispy duck, paired with a special sweet noodle sauce, and the sesame balls, with a crispy outer shell and soft, glutinous rice filling. The preserved eggs are also a highlight, with a unique texture and authentic flavor. The service was quick and the inside is really nicely decorated with artwork on the walls, beautiful lights and dim atmosphere. There's plenty of seating here. Grandma's Home also offers a dumpling sampler and fried fish. The cocktails are fun and the place is very authentic. The Braised Duck Leg with Five Spice was tender and richly seasoned. The Choy Sum with Dried Shrimp added freshness, while the Ju Ju Bao had savory and spicy notes. For dessert, the Mango Pomelo Sago was light and refreshing. The décor is cozy and nostalgic, with warm lighting and traditional touches.
