By the standards of Chinatown holes-in-the-wall, Happy Garden Palace's service is off-putting. But I've come to realize that part of that is managing our own expectations. The restaurant seems to do a large amount of takeout business via phone orders. The steady stream of customers entering to pick up and pay for their food takes the staff's attention away from customers dining in. Rating: 5.0/5.0 Home. Happy Garden Palace reminds me of home where Fuzhounese is spoken and the food is delicious. After moving to the Seattle area for work, I am often homesick for the dishes here. As such, trips home entail gorging on 锅边 and large orders of 醉排骨 and 芋头糕 for the flights back.
