I have been a fan of JG Melon but usually went for business lunch, so today I had the opportunity to take my family for Saturday lunch and we had a terrific time. Sure, we had to wait 45 minutes for a table, but it was sunny so we didn't mind. This place is so good omg! I came here on a tip from a friend and it was so amazing I've been twice now. I highly recommend the cheeseburger, and cottage fries and a bowl of chili for the table. The burger is so juicy and the texture of the fries is unlike anything you've ever tried before. Bobby Flay was right, this is one of the best burgers in the city!

Rules for going here: sit at the bar, order a martini from George, & eat the best burger. My boyfriend and I usually keep our order extremely simple -- two cheeseburgers, cooked medium rare, and a side of their famous cottage fries. Food is absolutely delicious for its price (cheaper by Manhattan standards). The burger is juicy (maybe a mixture of chuck and something else?) and coated in a beautiful layer of salty cheese.
