Formerly owned by my good friend George Kastelli I started bringing music into Kastelli cafe in the '80s we played many gigs there and it's proximity to music Street 30th Street between 7th 8th avenue where I have lived and ran a rehearsal recording studio since 1975 has created a great vibe for the neighborhood
This is a cool place. The drinks were reasonably priced. They have standard bar food like pretzels and I think a grilled cheese sandwich. Real simple stuff. The bar does have an antique vibe because this place is old. The place has good vibes. The bartender was making some nice drinks and he was friendly. It's a nice little spot to stop by if you're in the area and need a place to drink.
