LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION ??️It’s time for the CINEMA at The Metrograph. This upsettingly nice establishment smashes the narrative that all movies need to be Marvel. They’ve reimagine the movie theater business model by playing OLD MOVIES. I like this idea since they have already made the movie, why not play it again? I sat in the Abe Lincoln balcony seats and this was new because i’ve always been on the ground for movies. They reimagined the movie theater experience by ELEVATING some of the seats. The movie is no longer above you, you have the high ground. My only complaint is that I saw the DeerHunter here and they only went hunting for deer twice in a 3 hour movie. Very disappointing. Also heads up, limit the amount of bright colors you wear. Patrons seemingly only wear black and grey. This was great. Let’s do it again!!!! THANK YOU!

Great little theater to catch something old or something new. The intimate restaurant and bar are handy for gathering before or after.

They show some great films, and having a restaurant bar upstairs is nice, but they need a complete overhaul and new management. Please, some rich film lover, buy this enterprise and make it good. It's a total scam as they currently run it. Sign up for a year membership and you bet your arse you'll be paying for every year to come- leave them a message begging to cancel and you bet your arrrrse they won't call back and they won't cancel it. They must be very financially in the hole if they're resorting to swindling crap like that. And all the people who work there are forced to wear some uniform designed by the maniac who runs it or something like that. Go see a great film, and pray someone good buys the place. Poor New York.

I have been to these places for 1 year, and I really had a great experience there, the movies and the screenings were very great. The decor and the staff working there were also very good. But I have to say, the recent experience was not as great as it used to be. This cinema has a very good selection of movies, but I often hear a lot of people laughing at scenes that aren't that funny. This greatly affects my experience. When I was watching The Godfather, I often heard laughter at scenes that weren't meant to be funny, whereas my previous experience was that everyone was very immersed in the movie. I hope that for more serious movies, people can be more considerate of others' feelings and try to make less noise. But indeed, this cinema is very good.

I went to the nicest event here for Oscars night for a free event. I tried to get ther early but it was still crowded when I arrived. I miraculously found what I considered a VIP seat in Theater 2 at around 5:30 PM. The row had extra leg room and I was centered. I loved the Shhh Room much better than Theater 1 which was louder. The main lobby was packed too. However, everytime I went to the bathroom, it was vacant which was beyond perfect. Neighbors around me in Theater 2 bought good food too; pasta dishes, or martinis and I saw french fries probably with a hamburger, also popcorn. They came around to sell beer, think it was High Moon. The Oscars itself is a great event but Metrograph made it extra special. I was there for 5 hours, filled out their ballot for selecting winners to get a prize too. All in all it's a nice place for a movie theater experience and I had a perfect time there.

Their programming is a dream but they have the absolute most uncomfortable seats in which I've ever had to sit in any movie theater. I left with neck and shoulder pain and not sure I can go back to see anything else on their awesome schedule, which is really too bad. I loved everything else about this cinema. Please get better seats!

not good only bc $50 for 2 espresso martinis should be criminal. this place has a weird energy, its so film bro. they show good movies but also so does everywhere else. but seriously $50 for 2 drinks is insane, and they were good and the one star is for the service, staff was and always is on point, bartender and host and ticket office were all excellent, but its the the management that feels like a problem. also its realllllly hard to forget how the owner treated his staff during covid, puts a terrible taste in the mouth.

The 35 mm print of her was exquisite. Amazing little film book shop. Look forward to trying the food. They've got Topo Chico lime at concession.

LOVE being a member for $10 tickets. Very diverse film offerings often with director or actor Q&A!! Unfortunately I am not tall, so there’s limited view from many seats. I tend to sit closer if seats are available. Easy to pre-book online.Took off a star for overpriced and not fresh bagged popcorn. Cute candy though. Also grumpy staff sometimes.
