Peacock Alley offers a refined and memorable experience with stunning hotel restoration and excellent service. The staff is described as kind, accommodating, gracious, and professional, with standout service from individuals like Randy, Hector, and Kellye, who made above and beyond efforts such as finding a chocolate cake not on the menu. The quality of service truly stood out, with polished, thoughtful, and well-coordinated attention to detail from the moment of arrival. The bar is beautiful, with wonderful bathrooms, and the ambiance is pleasant—a jazz trio is audible but not overbearing. Cocktails like the empire old fashioned, Waldorf Cocktail, and Expresso Martini are excellent, with the latter perfected foamy and dark. The eponymous Waldorf Salad is especially delicious. There is a $75 minimum per head after 5pm for table service, but it is easy to reach since cocktails and bar food are about $35 each. This is a perfect place for locals and tourists, especially after a Broadway matinee. Every New York hotel should follow such professionalism and great vibe.
