Fabulous fabulous Fabulous! Many visits later, I've had zero service problems. Each forkful here delivers pure pleasure. Their execution exceeds all others. The atmosphere brings good feelings.

They haven’t updated their happy hour menus, changed a food priced item, and didn’t specify the price changed.. just that hybe time had changed. plus it didn’t change for the better. Poor service and communication.

Excellent quality, though pricey

I stopped at Épicerie Boulud in July 2025 to grab a quick bite before a meeting in the same building. I got a grilled chicken sandwich on ciabattawith sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, and goat cheese. They warmed it up, and it turned out to be delicious - the ciabatta was fresh, the filling generous, and it had a satisfying amount of goat cheese. It cost $15 with tax, but it was worth it.

I’d definitely come again.

Simply average. The food was average, but the service was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, my English is not very good, and I didn't understand what the lady was saying, and she started laughing and saying something in another language to someone else—very unpleasant behavior.

(I wrote my original review for the Lincoln Center location. Somehow I ended up posting for the Grand Central location. That said, this bakery is great...so I'm amending the review below to reflect that)

This is the best place to grab croissants, pastries and sandwiches. Quality of the food is amazing. I know the Lincoln Center location is going through some changes for a new bistro. Much looking forward!! Kudos to Mr. Boulud and his team!

Stefanie--who is wonderfully empathetic and compassionate as demonstrated by also working with autistic children--and Marie--who is diligently & successfully studying to be a Nurse--and their colleagues are always so kind and considerate. They are exceptionally considerate and always-always-always sincerely smiling...and laughing. They are stellar!

Very good spot in the city to watch the movement of people on their way to the iconic Grand Terminal station. Good coffee and better pastries with a dozen seats to watch the city through a large window.

Epicerie Boulud in One Vanderbilt is my go-to breakfast / coffee place close to the office. The service is efficient and the ingredients they use are of high quality. Highly recommend a quiche Parisienne, coconut chia and oats, and a vanilla latte combo for breakfast :-) Prices are a little high but the quality and taste are 100% worth it.

Their grab to go sandwiches are delicious!

The plain croissant and the matcha latte were great, but the whole place is really awkward, with little seating, uncomfortable chairs, weird window communal table and a tiny ledge on a column. They have more space, why not make it more comfortable and inviting? Also, the plastic cups and paper pastry pockets are ridiculous for dine-in. I guess it’s more tailored to takeout rather than dine in.

The honey apple cake is a standout, with a comforting, homemade flavor reminiscent of classic apple cake. I’ve also enjoyed several delicious pastries, and their selection of teas is lovely.
Today, I tried the matcha latte, though it wasn’t whisked well enough and had some clumps. Hopefully, this will improve next time, as I’m eager to try it again.

The coffee here is reasonably priced and really tasty.
The cakes are good value and most of them look a good size.
Unfortunately the cake slice I had seemed a lot smaller than the ones at the front of the cabinet.
