Famous Original Ray's Pizza Reviews
Went to their Columbus Ave location with some family memebers on November 16, 2025. Used my card to pay, left the tip area on the receipt blank(BIG MISTAKE), signed my name and put a cash tip in their jar. The next day I get a notification from my bank app that my card was charged an additional $10 to accommodate a tip. I immediately called the pizzeria was told to call the next day. Called spoke to the female manager and was called a liar but was told they would refund my money....read full review

Famous Original Ray's Pizza offers delicious pizza with crispy, crunchy crusts. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The BBQ chicken pizza is a popular choice, but there are many great options like fresh mozzarella with tomato basil and veggie pizzas. Even when eaten later, the pizza remains tasty, making it a great place to stop by for a big slice in Times Square.
The pizzas are large, so one slice per person is enough. The restaurant has limited seating, and it can get a bit crowded, but customers often find a spot, whether inside or outside. The bathroom is downstairs, which can feel like sneaking into a warehouse. The prices are normal for the area, although some customers think it’s overpriced.
The service is great, and the food is served quickly. The garlic knots are also a hit. While the ordering process can be chaotic, the pizza is fresh and delicious. It's especially well-liked for its New York-style characteristics. Overall, it's definitely worth a stop, especially if visited during a less crowded time.
