Lost it’s shine… The decorations are a lush as ever, but the food has degraded to a negligible experience — the wurst platter was mediocre and the duck almost flavorless somehow — while the prices have become exorbitant, way beyond what the mediocre experience can justify. Oddly even the beer menu has shrunken, to just a half dozen beers. The strudel, however, was properly excellent, the only part of an otherwise over-priced and under-spectacular dinner. What an incredibly odd experience. We went out of season in March just because we were seeing a show and wanted to get out of midtown. The place was deserted.
