I was staying at the Peninsula but I decided to escape and walk the streets to find a LOCAL place for breakfast. Found it on another site. Fresh squeezed orange juice while supply lasts. Everything made fresh, egg sandwiches with tons of bread/bagel options. Staff was nice and friendly. Also was reasonable for New York.
The place was buzzing with a brisk (mainly locals) breakfast trade. Always a good sign and we’ll deserved- we had cream cheese bagels and a drink which came to about $12 for 2 people. You don’t get much for $12 in NYC but this was a delicious, quick breakfast which was excellent value for money. Trade is largely take away but there are a small number of tables to eat in.
Good lunch food at decent prices. But if you go during the week during regular lunch hours, prepare to be part of a mob. They run a tight ship in there and get everyone in and out as efficiently as they can, but know that it'll be far more crowded than you would probably like.
