Via Porta is our go to anytime we need a delicious but quick breakfast/lunch. My go to is always the avocado toast, which is truly the best I’ve ever had. The bread has a crunch without being impossible to cut through and still soft inside. They top it with arugula, sliced garlic, pickled onions, roasted red peppers and a few chile peppers. To die for. Stopped by to try the hot chocolate and a pastry, wound up also ordering a sandwich. I really liked the hot chocolate. It's like they weren't trying to do too much with it. There's a marshmallow on top which was very sweet and good! It was $5 for a small and it was a perfect size. We had the olive oil cake. Super moist! a few hits and misses here- the mushroom egg sandwich with crispy prosciutto has fallen off in quality. last few orders the bread has been soggy, overstuffed with eggs, and the meat is 90% fat (and isn’t crispy). the chicken parm take is awesome, as is the poptart pastry.
