Easter Sunday NYC 2024, many retail stores were closed for the 1st time. The hat parade by St. Pat's on 5th was disrupted by protesters, but the weather was sunny, windy and relatively mild. Central Park was packed and we decided on sushi for dinner in the East Village. We wanted to go to Hasaki, but they were closed for Easter.This restaurant Yakiniku West (not sure why "West", this was the East Village ?) was next door. There was no line at 7:30pm, dinner primetime....

Food is good. Quality of meat is good. Unfortunately they are way understaffed so service was very slow. Not the fault of the server, as she was literally only person serving 8 tables, taking order, serving, and cleaning the tables.
